Fact from fiction, truth from diction. Uncle Sam is installing a great for of democracy there. One self-centered and based off political alliances just like here. The leaders in Iraq don't care so much about what the people want so much as their own party, political ambitions, and religious sect. Yep, Uncle Sam taught them politics good and in a hurry. Polls show 70% of the average Iraqis want Yankee to go home, but the mostly hand picked mouth pieces there who have the most to lose without the US propping them up, want the US to stay. That is why there will not be a vote on it that means anything.

They are voting, with their guns. That's why 20,000 to 30,000 Iraqis are dying per month during the American occupation.
You'll hear reports about how the local govt (which was created by the US forces) want us to stay. That's like asking the Dennis Hastert if the Republicans should remain in control of the House. It's not represtentative.
The vast majority of all the people in Iraq, including the insurgents who are Iraqi citizens, obviously don't want us there. But that doesn't matter, because the US doesn't actually believe in the concept of democracy. Only those in power get to vote, and the preferences of the average person on the street don't count.

We are there because the people want freedom from terrorists. If we were not helping they would be taken over like SPAIN has been. The terrorists are already into intimidation, threatening people not to say anything bad about them. Alot more blood will be shed, according to terrorists, in order that their mahdi(messiah) will come back to an Islam world.

Simple, if it did, Iraq would have to take on some responsibility & wouldn't have America to blame.

your assumptions are based on your understanding of something you can not understand. these people have been beaten down their entire lives and all they know is to feed off the govt. We leave not just one but multiple other power hungry tyrannical faction will take hold and all the deaths of our amazing military men will be in vein. People always revert back to what they know. they dont know what freedom is. I know its hard to understand brain washing since you too have fallen victim but its not easy to teach something so different
