Would the economy suffer for it, or would somebody else just step up and take over the money manipulator's role? If so, who would the replacements be?

Let's suppose that a nationalist president was elected. He first makes sure that the military commanders will back him up. Then he purges the Treasury Department of the bankers' cronies and swoops down to get the bankers themselves in one fell swoop. Media bosses who might look askance at these goings on will already have disappeared, oh my. And politely worded messages are conveyed to certain congressmen regarding the president's hopes for their continuing good health. (We're just supposing a possible scenario here.)

It depends on Who would do the arrest, Who would make the judgment and Who would execute the decisions!

Why an I asking? Because the results greatly depend on the above!
