Military - September 2007

OK, the president is in charge of the military. I'm not sexist or any thing, but I think that the president is the only one one job where we need a man. The woman was always famine. So in times of war, will the female president make the decision to agree?

i.e. Hilary Clinton- completely against war, and is going into a war position.

YOU want to a woman (Hilary) into a position where 75% of the time they are in war, or preparing, or across seas in diplomat.
Do you want to put this woman in command of the biggest and greatest Navy, Army, Airforce, etc. in the whole world.

I don't.

i know that if one has poor eye vision (i guess -6.0ish) there will be a liimit to what jobs he or she can do...v1..v2..v3..v4..and so on

how does the v1 and v2...etcetc work?
if one has the poorest vision, will he or she be limited to like cooking or accounting (im not saying theyre boring or bad jobs)

I just recently told my parents I want to go to the Air Force Academy. My dad's fine with it, but my mom...she's telling me things I don't want to hear. I'm ignoring her, I told her I'm still her daughter, please treat me the same. Anyway, how can i explain to her that this is what I want...joining the Air Force Academy.

Is Force Recon like a more direct action Navy SEAL? What do their missions differ from Army SF?

i live in new york, and im looking to go to a military academy to become an officer in the marines after college.

BUT..i also wanna pursue a degree in criminal justice so after my military service is complete i can apply for a job in law enforcement


do military academies have classes to study majors? i know nothing about this and im JUST starting research


please, if your going to answer..do not leave me dirty answers or try to convince me not to join the military. i really dont care what you have to say, im gunna be a marine..its in my family's blood

If you are a civilian working for the military, would you also be able to live abroad in the bases and do temporary duties in other places?

My friend is an enlisted who is stationed in Japan, but she has temporary duties for weeks at a time to like Korea, Hawaii...etc. Do the civilian employees get to do the same?

I found this website through a lady at the military hospital called ANYSOLDIER.COM. It gives soldiers in Iraq and other places a chance to post about their expierience and request items that they need or want. I really want to send a lot of things to the soldiers, but I need relatively inexpensive items that would be good for them since I'm only 14 and get a small weekly allowance (nothing like movies and cds that cost some money). I was thinking things like Kool-Aid packets, Beef Jerkey, Guitar Picks, and socks. My dad was in the military and my brother is currently in the military on a tour so I feel that I should donate as much as I can to the troops :]

What are some inexpensive items like the ones I listed that would be good to send to the troops? Where is the cheapest place you can get the item so I can get a lot of them?

I also suggest that you go to anysoldier.com and check it out. They do a lot for us and my brother tells me how much he enjoys packages and such :]

He just arrived at Fort Knox on 9/13/07 and can't call me or email me his mailing address (and he can't even write me because he doesn't know MY mailing address)...basically, I can't send him a letter. Who in Fort Knox, or on any base, would know how to find a soldier's mailing address?

I was at the hospital cause my baby was chocking i manage to open the airways at home removing the toy but the toy was missing the head at the hospital the nurse was acting negligent and we had and argument he was an officer but i never knew about it .they one now an article 15 ($380 for 180 days, 30 day extra duty ,14 days just allow to go work ,take my rank . do u recommend to go to court martial because i just was trying to protect my family.and i don't think this is fair and 1 Sgt told me that day that hew will do everything at his disposal to damage my military career. help please!

I'm curious, how do most black women in the military maintain or wear their hair when going through boot camp, and various training?
Do most wear their hair natural, straightened, braided? Just curious as is this something that I've wondered about a lot.

when they send ppl these cards,notepads,calander etc asking for a contribution in return
this qustion isnt for me so answer good. here are some details from the person.
my father is a sucker for these people,he claims they are putting their lives on the line for us ,and so he thinks nothing of sending them a 10 or 15 dollar check everytime they ask for a contribution
