I was recently seperated from the U.S. Navy. I was given an early level seperation RE-4 due to asthma. I had asthma when I was younger but I do not believe it actually asthma. I had a severe cold when I was there and I was out of shape at the time also. My breathing is 200% better now and I am much more active now. I want to be in the military still but I really do not want to go into the army or the marines. So what is my chance of possibly getting into the Air Force or back into the Navy?

I'm a twenty year Air Force retiree. I should know the answer to this, but is the U.S. Flag ever, under any circumstances dipped as in salute?? I'v heard that the only time is at sea, and then only if the other ship dips their flag first. Thanks.:)))

This 18 year old Jewish girl was a teacher in Argentina, she was a Teacher´s Union leader. As you know teachers are dangerous, they make people think! And use to read all that strange authors! Marx, Troski, Lenin,...
At the School of The Americas we had a "black list" with all those names, sadly she had one of those books when we found her...

british actors are depicted as the bad guys?

The same thing was happening in the 80's when the cold war was on, so is this an indication that the relationship between america and britain is the same as the relationship between soviet russia and america?...because during the duration of the war, russians were shown to be the bad guys...now its the brits?

How does someone take off this video of a fake Army Ranger from YouTube. This guy says he is an Army Ranger, but you can tell he is a fake. One of the biggest mistakes, among other, is that his beret is flopped to the wrong side. It was spouts to be flopped to the right and the beret patch was spouts to be on his left eye. It's really f*cking annoying to see it there and for people who don’t know that he is a fake, might eat up his lies.

I was watching "Midway" for the nth time recently and during the battle scenes admirals on both sides were reminded by subordinates of the importance of transfering their flag to another ship. That's simply a symbolic gesture, isn't it?

This past weekend I had a BBQ at my house. It was great! Neighborhood kids came over and played with my dogs, family constantly coming to the grill asking for seconds and thirds. Even my next door neighbor came over to eat since his wife is out of town and he's tired of 'nukem food'.

The question came up while we were eating, "If I was called by the USMC tomorrow, would I serve again?" Would I go through years of empty holidays, all the pain, the hard work? All those sleepless nights under foreign stars, never knowing what the dawn would bring? Would endure combat again? Would I be willing to die for my country?

Would I do it all again?

My answer was simply..."Yes." I say this with resolve because I know, freedom isn't free at all. That BBQ we were enjoying came at the cost of those who stand silent guard over us everyday. They never ask for a 'thank you', but from my family and I, they get one everyday.

So, to those that have served, would you serve again if called?

I have already gone to MEPS and signed but have not gone to basic yet. Can i just tell my recruiter that im not interested anymore. I want out because i wanted to be in EOD. After being told that it wouldn't be a problem, Meps said that i couldnt because i had an MIP. My recruiter said just to pick a job and i could transfer to EOD later before bootcamp. Well that never happened so im stuck with Jet Mechanic (AD) and hate it.

I thought that the military would not be this bad I am constantly bullied and treated poorly. These people are attempting to ruin my life because I have stated my goal was to attend college. I have advanced and done well in the military but these people still treat me like crap because I am a small guy and not too indimidating also I had no father so I am not to into the ego boasting macho crap. Id rather work on college, so this makes me unworthy to be in the military to them.

Hi. I am in jrotc (marine). I am in color guard. This is my first time doing any of this because now I am in 9th grade (freshmen). But I wanted my mom or someone else to take a few pictures of me while I am doing the color guard on the football field during my high schools game. The band will be playing the national anthem, and I wondered if it was rude to take picture during the anthem. If it is I will tell my mom or who ever to not take any.

Thanks for and help/info you can give me.

ok, I am retired air force and during the 25 years I was in the af there was a program that paid ten percent interest on money deposited in a special military savings account. you were limited to how much you could put in and you only accrued ten percent while you were actually in the war zone itself. does that plan still exist?, what exactly are the rules? and how do we sign up for my younger wife's upcoming deployment to war?

thanks,

My husband has about 12 credits now. Deploying before he gets out. ETS around Aug.2009. He's an E-4, medic. He says his MOS gives him college credit so he only lacks around 4-6 classes for an associate's I believe. How competitive is green to gold active duty option? How exactly does it work? He'd like to do his degree in PA. Otherwise, how does the regular green to gold option work?Is it easier to get?How does this work?He plans to get back in afterwards. I've looked online about the green to gold program, but I was wondering if anyone had experience or knows more about how it all works? Thanks.

My husband will have 7 years of active duty service in July 2009. He is thinking of getting out after this next deployment, and going to school full-time to try and get his bachelor's degree. He plans to stay in either national guard or reserves during the 2 years it will probably take to complete the degree. He then plans to go to OCS and go back in as an officer in Army. He was 17 when he joined.Instead of age 37, around what age would it be with about 2 years reserves/NG?(in other words, how is retirement computed as a reservist/combined with active duty?). Thanks.

Im thinking about joining the Airforce, and have been doing some research!

Also, my husband is also in the Airforce in the maintenence field, and I will probably go in as a general career!

Anyways...I asked a recruiter about getting stationed together, and they said that they have a join spouse program, and you have to either be based at the same base....or witing 50 miles of eachother. Also, there i no base within 50 miles, so wouldn;t that mean we would be based together??
