I was recently seperated from the U.S. Navy. I was given an early level seperation RE-4 due to asthma. I had asthma when I was younger but I do not believe it actually asthma. I had a severe cold when I was there and I was out of shape at the time also. My breathing is 200% better now and I am much more active now. I want to be in the military still but I really do not want to go into the army or the marines. So what is my chance of possibly getting into the Air Force or back into the Navy?

The Air Force will not take any prior service, unless you want to go into the reserve. As far as the Navy, if you recieved an entry level separation, you may have problems. I realize you said that you don't want to go into the Army, but they will currently take anyone with a pulse, and under the age of 42.

not gonna Happen, The RE code is a no go for all services. the AF does not currently accept Prior Service at all in any event.

If you had asthma after age 13 it is a Permanent DQ, no waivers authorized. If you were diagnosed with asthma prior and lied about/didn't disclose, you just earned a fraudulent enlistment, which as also a PDQ, no waivers authorized.

Zero chance of getting in the AF, ther AF just isn't taking prior service unless they are linguist or special forces types.

As to getting back in the Navy,

You would have to prove, that you did not have asthma.

That means paying the cost yourself, to have medical testing done and getting sworn statements from Doctors, saying you do not have asthma.

Then applying to have your discharge changed due to wrong information causing it.
