A friend of mine was thinking of joining the military. She has some medical problems that the recruiter told her to lie about or she wouldnt be able to get in. Its suprising to me that he would want her to do that. If she did lie and these problems were found later (which most likely they would because of the issues ) what penalties might she face for lying?

Why do people keep asking the stupidest question ever...Will my girlfriend/ fiance receive benefits, housing, will she be taken care of while I deploy or can i live with my boyfriend and have the military pay for everything...Dont they understand that girlfriends and fiances dont exsist in the eyes of the military, not until you are married

The Kurds and the Shiites are working on an alliance...so if the others were to drop arms and join, then demand the US leave..do we really think the Washington crowd would....personally I see it now as more of a staging ground for any potential Ian conflict and not as much for the Iraqi peoples.

My hubby and I are in south korea and he broke his wrist and has been wearing a cast for the past 2 months. They had to take bone from his hip to repair the bone in his wrist. They told him that there is only 10% chance of complete recovery and that he may never do push ups again.
He is infantry.
What are the chances of medical reclass? Or even get medical discharged?

As a girl who has a boyfriend serving in Iraq, and many marine friends, I need to know if this is true. I understand if they oppose the war, but haven't they heard of supporting the troops? Anyway, I don't want to jump to conclusions until I know the truth. I mean, I love a grande nonfat mocha as much as the next girl.... but if it is true I will never go there again, and will make sure that everyone I know, is aware....Thank you!!!!

I've heard that having a degree and getting promotion points helps you advance, but how do you go up the ranks? and what are E1, E2, E3 and so on? what is the highest? How do you become and O1 and up?

Have you ever been stationed here? If so what is your opinion on this post? Im just curious because we have been stationed here 3 and half years and the majority of people hate it...My husband has been in the Army 14 years and I liked just about every post we have been stationed...I dont mind where we are stationed as long as Im with my husband. I like it here because the surrounding area is very pretty. Like alex bay, sackets harbor and the Adirondacks

Has he even taken the time to consider the spouces and children left behind? Has he ever paced the floors with a worried spouce, or comforted a crying child? Does he even care why we cry, why we can't sleep or eat? Does he even remotely know what it is like wondering day in and day out if our loved ones are still alive? Could he even pace the floors with us and know why he is there? Has he taken the time to have dinner with a family that can only push the food around on our plates, because of worry? My door is open to him, if he cares, which by now WE ALL KNOW HE DOES NOT!!! I hope he can sleep at night, because my husband has his back, and I'm praying all night. When you take the the support beams out of a roof it will hold for a while, but then it begins to sink in the middle, and the the weight is too much and it begins to cave in. Welcome to my life. Do you have a heart at all? Nevermind I know the answer to that. Proud of my Soldier, not my President.............
