Have you ever been stationed here? If so what is your opinion on this post? Im just curious because we have been stationed here 3 and half years and the majority of people hate it...My husband has been in the Army 14 years and I liked just about every post we have been stationed...I dont mind where we are stationed as long as Im with my husband. I like it here because the surrounding area is very pretty. Like alex bay, sackets harbor and the Adirondacks

You have to realise,

Some people make the best of every post and find things to do.

And some people always consider their last post or their next post to be the best and the post they are currently at to be the worst.

You just have to ignore the " grass is always greener" kind of people, they are unhappy, no matter where they are stationed.

I agree with you Soldiers Wife...I also don't care where we're stationed at as long as we are together!! We weren't stationed in Ft Drum but West Point, NY. I liked it there even though it was a bit cold in the winter..lol
We've had quite a few soldiers coming from drum to do training in West Point and they were always complaining about that post.
My husband is now stationed in Bahrain for a one year unaccompanied tour, I've visited him once and will go back for a second time at the end of this month. I like that place too it's very hot there which I like and it has a lot of culture...and the food....mmm...lol

All I know about Ft. Drum is that it is home to the 10th Mountain Division.

My Grandfather (Maternal) was in the original 10th Mt Div fighting in Italy He was wounded in the Battle for Mount Della Spe and recieved the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
