I get a kick out of this as well. I am a civilian in Iraq right now. I have seen the oil fields in Basra, and Kirkuk. The two largest in Iraq. Iraq's oil production has not even caught up to where it was before the beginning of the war yet. And we certainly aren't getting it for free, even for the troops here in Iraq. I have seen a lot of change in this country since I first entered in 2004. And things are finally starting to get better. We may not have come here for the right reasons, but we are helping the people. And we need to finish the job. There will be a lot of people that disagree with what I have said here. But I ask any of them this. If you beleive so strongly in your ideals, have you seen any facts with your own two eyes to back them up? I do not work for KBR or any other oil company either. I work to armor the vehicles our soldiers use so that they might live through the IEDs.

supply and insist has not something to do with it. China and India are presently receiving their oil from Suda, Venezuela, and different springing up international locations. there is a lot and various oil in the Persian gulf, or the middle East. earlier the conflict, oil replaced into approximately $27, and now, it incredibly is over $143 because of the valueless fee that the dollar includes, it incredibly is severely inflated if we proceed to pay for those wars. additionally, the FED devaluated the dollar, and that they diminish rates of activity together as printing it out of skinny air! This merely makes the subject even worse. IF we had gold/silver as our substantial backing to the dollar, gas could've been the comparable value because it replaced into earlier the Iraq invasion. It merely that "fiat currencies" on no account artwork, it incredibly is in hassle-free terms paper and it could desire to tend to get destroyed truthfully if we shop printing, printing, spending and spending. All this impacts the dollar, the financial gadget, and the human beings. Take care.

Beats me. Keeping Iraqi oil in the ground has been way more profitable for the Beloved Leader and his Oil Sheikh buddies.

100 bucks a barrel on the spot market could never have happened without the Invasion and Occupation.

In fact, historically, warfare in the Mideast after WWII has always followed a drop in oil prices.

Sadam's real crime in the eyes of the oil world, was overselling his OPEC quota.

Farenheight 911....not sure who is taking oil though. It makes no sense. People think we built a pipeline and have been trasporting oil to ships while we have been over there but this comes from people who have never been to the country.

As Bush lied about the reasons going into Iraq, the far left must lie about the reasons for going into Iraq. And if that makes sense I'll tell you another.

Because it was lies about weapons of mass destruction as it was found that there were none there. It was lies about going after those behind 9/11 as all but one of the attackers came from Saudi Arabia. It was lies about toppling a dictator and rescuing the Iraqi people as the US has a history of toppling democratic governments and replacing them with murderous dictators (Chile, Nicaragua etc..). It was lies about protecting the US as Iraq was a third world country whose armed forces could easily be defeated by any developed country. When all these facts are taken into account the only reason left that the US invaded was to control this countries resources

Cheney had maps of Iraqi oil fields spread out at his Energy Task Force meetings.

BEFORE 911.

Care to explain that?

CHENEY ENERGY TASK FORCE DOCUMENTS FEATURE MAP OF IRAQI OILFIELDS

Commerce & State Department Reports to Task Force Detail Oilfield & Gas Projects, Contracts & Exploration

Saudi Arabian & UAE Oil Facilities Profiled As Well

“(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and abuse, said today that documents turned over by the Commerce Department, under court order as a result of Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit concerning the activities of the Cheney Energy Task Force, contain a map of Iraqi oilfields, pipelines, refineries and terminals, as well as 2 charts detailing Iraqi oil and gas projects, and “Foreign Suitors for Iraqi Oilfield Contracts.” The documents, which are dated March 2001, are available on the Internet at: www.JudicialWatch.org.
The Saudi Arabian and United Arab Emirates (UAE) documents likewise feature a map of each country’s oilfields, pipelines, refineries and tanker terminals. There are supporting charts with details of the major oil and gas development projects in each country that provide information on the projects, costs, capacity, oil company and status or completion date.
Judicial Watch has been seeking these documents under FOIA since April 19, 2001. Judicial Watch was forced to file a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia (Judicial Watch Inc. v. Department of Energy, et al., Civil Action No. 01-0981) when the government failed to comply with the provisions of the FOIA law. U.S. District Court Judge Paul J. Friedman ordered the government to produce the documents on March 5, 2002.
The documents were produced in response to Judicial Watch’s on-going efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in government on behalf of the American people. Judicial Watch aggressively pursues those goals by making FOIA requests and seeking access to public information concerning government operations. When the government fails to abide by these “sunshine laws” Judicial Watch files lawsuits in order to obtain the requested information and to hold responsible government officials accountable.
“These documents show the importance of the Energy Task Force and why its operations should be open to the public,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.”

Because they have to make some kind of excuse to justify their complete opposition to the US, and it's military.

Just because Saddam/Iraq used WMDs in it's war with Iran, and Saddam used them against his Own people, and the U.N., Germany, France, Spain, British, and the US Satellites, and the World's PRESS CORPS...ALL confirmed the existence of WMDs up until a short time BEFORE the war started......

Doesn't (I Guess!) mean that they are real!
What do a few 10's of thousands of Dead people know about stuff that is killing them anyway!? Or those silly weapons experts.....you know, those guys who make, maintain, Inspect, or dispose of >The most deadly things in the world< know about what they are...or what they look like....It's not like.. if they were not educated about these things, that...oh..I don't know....they could end up killing millions...including themselves or something.....you big silly!

I mean it's not like all of the "Negotiating" for years on end....endlessly denying access to inspect those "Non-Existing" WMDs gave Saddam/Iraq time to remove them from the country or hide them, or sell them off to anyone or something!......Why that's....That's just crazy talk!

Wow!, you guys are right!.....What was I thinking!

Sheep.....Bah,Bah,Bah
Priceless......and sad.. :(
