Military - August 2007

Federal Government is pouring more than 100 billions into the American Society for supporting the war in Iraq and Afganistan in the form of military contract. Those military contractor get the contract and make huge donation to the political party in power in return. They are both benefited from the war. What is the situation if the war is over, over 150,000 G.I. come back to seek employments, no more military contract for people to work on. The military spending comes from bonds issued by the Federal Government.

The unemployment rate is low because Federal Government hires tons of security guards to prevent possible terror attack and send more than 150,000 military aboard. What the unemployment rate will be after the war. We will get broke.

My nephew signed at 17 and now wants out. (He's 18 now) So how can the Marines make him stay if he was under age to go in? He was 17 when he signed up for the Marines. He tried to sign for a loan to buy a new car but was told 17 year olds are not legal to sign papers.

My time, my keyboard,
my time, my fingers,
he is alone, in war
I miss the Dad I adore.

Sand and heat and him
his postcard is on my wall,
times, he does not talk,
times, I know he stands tall.

Prayers never left me, ever,
hopes and dreams are with me,
Daddy is my hero, my Manly Man,
He knows that and grinning again."

God Bless all our soldiers and sailors.

They were so proud. Most of them waved at me as they passed. Just a stupid civilian on the sidewalk. I can't believe how high moral is for the military right now. Why libs want to give up the war on terror and let Osama win is beyond me.

Lets get down to brass tacks! I have posted several questions on here regarding the war being fought in Chechnya, and I have received several answers, most of them sincere and honest answers, now I would like to hear what you feel would be the solution to this war in Chechnya, and how it could end in a very amicable and peaceful manner between the Russian Federation and the Chechnya's fighters?

Serious answers, please!

Thank you,

One of my good friends recently joined the Navy as a Hospital Corspman and she said that she stands a good chance of going to Iraq because of her job; she says that it is a much needed position over there....I was just wondering if this is accurate?

"what do you want? a pity party? its not the job of a US MILITARY CHURCH to recognize the BRITISH MILITARY. please, go sit in on a british service and tell me if they mention all the US troops killed in this war...NOPE NOT LIKELY. we dont have a responsibility to them so blow it out your 234. "

A question was asked earlier and I was working on my reply when..NOTHING.. the question was deleted...? But, this reply had shocked me and I had it in my response before question deleted... hence and accurate quote from ALESHA A !!

I remember the questioner said that a US Chaplain in Virginia had offered prayers and thoughts for the U.S. PILOT ONLY involved in a blue on blue incident in AFGHANISTAN recently.

NOT ONE WORD OF CONDOLENCE for the 3 YOUNG British Soldiers or the injured or their grieving Families..?

Common Decency dictates RESPECT for ALL deaths for ALLIES in combat together?..

I believe it when the soldier said he WAS IN THE CHURCH along with BRITISH colleagues...

I admire Major General Rick Lynch for the sacrifice he is making in Iraq but I disagree with the appearances on C-Span and other politically motivated forums while he is Active-Duty and is wearing the uniform while addressing callers concerned with the war because often the conversation is not apolitical.

For instance:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,,2155891,00.html

He is violating Paragraph 4.1.1.3 of DOD Directive 1344.10 and Section j of Paragraph 1-10 of AR 670-1.

Do you believe something more should be done about the media and the military, especially in this case? Why is he allowed to wear the uniform and make statements on political issues yet I am not?

My husband has been deployed for about eight months now. I send packages regularly but I'm running out of ideas. I usally send movies, music, books, snacks, that kind of thing (not to mention that music and movies are expenssive). If anyone has any new or creative ideas for me I would be very thankful!

I have been considering signing up for the marine corps. A recruiter i talked to pretty much told me to lie about any flaws i have. I don't want to say i have no peanut allergies and get to boot camp and be forced to eat peanut butter sandwiches. Can i still get in if i tell the truth?
