My time, my keyboard,
my time, my fingers,
he is alone, in war
I miss the Dad I adore.

Sand and heat and him
his postcard is on my wall,
times, he does not talk,
times, I know he stands tall.

Prayers never left me, ever,
hopes and dreams are with me,
Daddy is my hero, my Manly Man,
He knows that and grinning again."

God Bless all our soldiers and sailors.

Very nice, I almost started to cry when I read that. You are very good at poetry.

Be very proud of your Dad, he is in my prayers as well. My son was in Iraq, USMC for almost a year. Thankfully he came home with no harm done to him. I prayed day and night for his safe return.

God bless our troops....

That is a great poem. You should send it to your dad. He would like to read that. I enjoyed reading letters from friends when I was deplyoed, but reading that from you will make his time over there a lot better.
