They were so proud. Most of them waved at me as they passed. Just a stupid civilian on the sidewalk. I can't believe how high moral is for the military right now. Why libs want to give up the war on terror and let Osama win is beyond me.

Please understand that I DO believe this war needs to be fought. But what most people don't stop to think about is "who IS the enemy?" What do "They" look like? Most will tell you that it's only a fanatical few (muslims). If that were true, wouldn't those "few" all be dead already -- having blown themselves up?
I'm not opposed to killing the morons. But the war needs to be fought through education, convincing them that murder is not the answer.
The liberals are dillusional. I like how Maliki slamed Levin and Hillary last night.

Give up the war on terror?

Why do you think this? There has never NOT been a war on terror. When did you ever hear anyone of any party say,'Let the terrorists do whatever they want.'

The fact of the matter is that the U.S. has ALWAYS been against terrorism. However, this is the first time that Americans have been asked to give up thier rights (Patriot Act) in order to fight it. I think it's our DUTY as Americans to question the effectiveness of the billions of dollars being used in this 'war', as well as the tactics used.

As a proud American, I am willing to die for my country. What I'm NOT willing to do is have my freedom taken from me by my own leaders under the guise of 'security'. Me and my Smith and Wesson protect my home. If the losers on the plane that crashed into the World Trade Center would have had the gumption to stand up to thier attackers, none of this would have happened. Americans are so willing to play the 'victim' these days. It's so tired and weak. I don't want or need the federal government's assistance with my 'security'.

Wanting to recognize the war on terror for what it is and not what it is misconstrued to be would help our troops more. The war on terror is against a faceless organization. Let's really exploit our military's talents instead of giving them long tours in someone else's civil war.

Aren't they great? We are so blessed to have men (real men) who are willing to fight to protect our country. As for liberals, they are sick - sick in their hearts and sick in their minds. They are a boil on the bu##s of decent Americans like us, and we just have to try to live with them the best we can. I bet that was a special moment for you to see the convoy. I'm happy for you that you got to see it :).

You would have been more surprised if Osama waived to you.
