Quite frankly, they should be sentenced to fight in the war, at least we wouldn't worry about our children!

Pink Brain -

It was a bit of humor, we could deport them to Iraq and let them fend for themselves? Anything but being here and being a threat to our children!

The US military has always had a major problem with sexual offenders in it's ranks.

The problem is much more widespread in the military than in the population in general simply because of the ethos of the military and the types that are recuited.

All the yahoo hypocrites and yahoos will take offence at these FACTS but tough luck.

Now to YOUR QUESTION.

Under very specific conditions ex felons can be recruited but one would have to check with the local recruiting office for claification.

I doubt that that an ex sexual offence felon is one of those special conditions.

It's too light for a sentence. This will be an insult to the upright soldiers who are out there to defend their country.

No. Sexual offenders should be confined in an island and injected with HIV infected needles.

No, any crime that is sexual in nature, domestic violence, involving a deadly weapon or with the intent to cause harm is a disqualifying factor.

The Felons who are being allowed to join are those who have a single offense and it is something like check fraud, tax evasion, mail fraud. They are all basic, non violent crimes.

This is a lie. If you are a convicted of an offense, you would need a waiver in order to enlist. Most felons do not get them, let alone sex offenders.

Be Happi, have you completely lost your mind? Like the American soldier wants a pedophile fighting next to them. We already have a few bad apples amongst the good in our military, the last thing we want is to have to protect Iraqi children from American pedophiles. I can see the headlines now. And to answer the original question, hell no, sexual offenders can't join the Army. They are lightening standards, but that doesn't mean they are full out desperate. Go in a military office and ask that question. One of two things are gonna happen, you're gonna get your *** kicked or you're gonna get your *** kicked. Keep your dirty mitts off little kids and go take a long walk off a short pier

This absurd, these perfectly capable. physically qualified God loving Americans whorl deed for some thing that is Uncle Sam's business...In the mid 1940 they didn't want a completely segregate unit. They said mo real would go down, The straighting me couldn't go concentrate. You know what, it did, by corps got over, they adapted, over came. Hell, Collin Powell was CJCS as a black man. BGEN Ward was just named Commander, USAFRICON. I just saying, these young adults had the opportunity to shine and they did. Don't you see the same potential from homosexual Americans?

Are all of you baffons this ignorant? How many of you had sex in high school or jounior high school? Guess what, under the law you're a sexual offender and predator as well, just never prosecuted for it. Most sexual offenses are of this nature now a days, and by the way, over 98% of sexual offenses are committed by family members. Do your research before answering questions...RLTW!!!

Send them all there - our jails are over crowded. I believe we should reduce sentences of criminals for time served if they go overseas and fight in Iraq. Put them to some use ....better then sending innocent young women and men....
