I am in the Army as an Army Recruiter, so I can tell you that the minimum is 2 years.

There are minimum times, but there is an 8 year obligation either way that you can be called up for. If you serve 2 years, they can still call you back up to 6 years after you leave. If you serve 6 years, they can only call you back up 2 years after you leave.

ALL CONTRACTS ARE FOR EIGHT YEARS.

a minimum of 2 years must be served on Active duty, but those contracts severely limit your job choice as well as other opportunites like bonuses.

Marines is 4 yrs
Army 2 years
Navy I think 2 yrs

In israel, Every male or female Jew and male Druze (religion) , must be recruited for the IDF (Israel Defense Force), for three years at least(unless he is the only son of his parents)

Depends on your job, enlisted or officer, if you take any extensions, and most importantly which part of the military (army, navy, reserves, active, etc.)
