We get knee pads and elbow pads, but they are not kevlar. There is only so much armor you can wear and still be able to move. The armor already weighs over 25 pounds.
There are sleeves for the arms, and a grion protector, but anything on the legs slows you down too much. Moving is just as improtant to survival as is the armor, even more so actually.

Currently we are issued knee and elbow pads but they are not made with Kevlar (to my knowledge). They are more like the type skateboarders wear except camouflaged.

Yes, but it's not kevlar. It would constrict movement too much, not to mention kevlar isn't exactly light either.
