To get into the Air Force back in 1966, I was told I had to score in the high 90's while the men only had to score in the 60's. Is my memory correct?

How come the presidents or leaders of their country dont fight alone side in wars anymore? they are the top general, the leader and father of their country but yet they dont fight in war. they hide in safety. George Washington was a real president, he actually fought alone side his solders.

Well we are getting ready for our first duty station this spring. We are pretty much up for anywhere. Not too picky but we rather be at least near a city so we can see museums, zoos, malls, etc, but also some nice scenery. I know they send you where they need you, but we're trying to pick his "dream sheet" choices just in case. So.. what is your favorite Army base and why (stuff to do,location, housing, activities, stuff for kids/families,weather etc..? THANKS

In 2001 they started taking foreigners again mostly from former colonies of Spain. Is it possible for someone with residency in Spain but not citizenship to join the Spanish Foreign Legion and if so, how do you sign up for it?

This is going to sound really dumb, but I need to send something to somebody who's at Parris Island right now. He was in an evaluation platoon, but he was moved. I don't know the new address yet, but I was wondering if it would take forever to forward mail if I were to go ahead and send it to the old address.

I have no idea, so I'm just taking a shot in the dark by asking here. Thanks!

Why must everyone fight over who was better during WWII ? I never heard my Grandmother & Grandfather talk like this about WWII and they was in it. SO why are most of the British and American people in here fighting over who was better I thought we were on the same side during that time. So why are we fighting over who saved who now?

I'm a Vietnam veteran, but I am not a hero. Are we devaluing real heroes, by referring to all soldiers as heroes? To me, a hero is someone who exhibits bravery above and beyond the call. The soldiers now serving in Iraq are not all heroes. Most are guys just like me who served because they signed up to do so.

Before I went to MEPS my recruiter told me to say NO to every medical question that was asked...so I did... and everything went fine. I got in. But now I am about a week away from my ship date and I am getting really nervous about this. Has anyone else been in this situation? When I was young I broke both of my wrists & sprained my ankle. Nothing major but it still has me worried. What are the P-Days like at Navy boot camp? Is any of this likely to come up? Am I worried for nothing? Any answers will be helpful.
