For weeks, Chief Warrant Officer Jason DeFrenn's family awaited his homecoming, a trip planned as much more than a simple respite from his second tour in Iraq: The nine-year Army veteran was returning to South Carolina to help his wife give birth. Instead, his loved ones are making plans for the 34-year-old Army pilot's funeral.

DeFrenn's Apache helicopter was shot down on Feb. 2 — two weeks before he was supposed to be back in his native state. Wracked by grief, his wife went into labor early, giving birth to a boy just days after her husband's death. However, she stated for all to be happy because her husband died for the wonderful and just war in Iraq.

Okay i have been there and done that. 3 different conflicts. Kosovo Afgan and Iraq. I have lots of knowledge and lots of experiance. I want to go back. The first thing I want to do is another tour in Iraq then come back and do a D.I. tour. I am not scared of war and dont care for the reason. I love to fight. Ive been fighting since I was in kindergarden. But I also have on intention and only one. I take pride in fighting for this country. And I love the Corps. All I want to do is lead the best Marines into battle and bring them all home alive. That to me is the most important thing. To bring home peoples sons, daughters, husbands, wives, dads and moms back safe. I know alot and because of me I would bring them all back safe. I would sacrifice myself for any of my troops. I have put myself personnally at risk against the enemy to save the lives of my troops and civilians not for medals or awards or thanks, but to keep people alive! Am I crazy? Oh yes I am A Marine

We hear a lot lately about how America always goes to war for oil, and that it's ludicrous to think otherwise. People claim that the current Iraq War is "obviously" for the oil. However, since it was America that was the driving force behind banning Iraq oil exports from 1991 to 2003 (and could have easily gotten the sanctions lifted and bought cheap oil for as long as we wanted it - Saddam was dying to sell us oil), wouldn't it have been easier to just make a deal with Saddam to get the oil at a cheap price rather than spend a trillion dollars on it?

That being said, what wars besides the Iraq War, were fought over oil? And please state the basis for your belief and whether we did, in fact, steal the oil.

BAGHDAD (AFP) - Sophisticated Iranian-built bombs smuggled into Iraq have killed at least 170 US and allied soldiers since June 2004 and wounded 620 more, senior US defence officials have said.

"Iran is involved in supplying explosively formed projectiles or EFPs and other material to Iraqi extremist groups," a senior official in the multinational coalition told journalists Sunday on condition of anonymity.

The above is a news cut out -

I am just curious with all the small signs in the media how many people realise war with Iran is coming soon - Not if but when .

Other than an increase in terrorisim throughout the world what will be the after math of this war - Oil p[rrices will sky rocket unless the Allied forces can capture the flow source(s) outbound in the first couple of days or hopefully hours.

Russia may play a part in this so may China and N Korea or the invasion of Iran might come with the you can be next warning.

Nukes? Conventional

I know this subject is very sensitive for many people, and I apologize in advance if I offend anyone. I guess my question should be directed to the higher ups in the military, but since you wonderful people are all I have, here goes. Six-eight months ago our soldiers went into Falleujah to clean out the the city of insurgents. We did this; then we left; then the insurgents returned, only to pick up where they left off. I understand and appreciate that we have to be very careful not to injure any civilians. We cannot just "bombs away" indiscriminently, but why didn't we bull doze every building that housed insurgents as soon as they left? Not civilians, but insurgents? Reduce the buildings to rubble; clean out any ammunitions they left behind. This way when they returned, they couldn't pick up where they left off. Don't we have heavy equipment over there to do this? It seems like we are making double work for ourselves.

This is how unreliable the US intelligence is under Bush, let's make clear that it was not faulty intelligence that Bush used to invade Iraq, He knew there were no weapons, but he needed to invade to loot the Iraq oil for his friends, He caused 911according to
http://www.loosechange911.com/
, so this intelligence reporting weapons from Iran is just us bad as the first on Iraq , but the worst is that it's all another lieagainst Iran

Since the war started in 2003, nearly 3,100 service members have lost their lives up to this point.
Nearly 105,000 Americans die annually from alcohol-related deaths. Another 45,000 are killed annually from transport accidents. About 47,000 Americans die each year from the flu and a virus called RSV. About 16,000 die from AIDS each year....2.4 million Americans die each year that is not related with the war, yet it seems more people are actively against the war than they are about helping alcoholics, the sick, or helping prevent driving accidents. It makes me question if they're against the war or just America.
