Okay i have been there and done that. 3 different conflicts. Kosovo Afgan and Iraq. I have lots of knowledge and lots of experiance. I want to go back. The first thing I want to do is another tour in Iraq then come back and do a D.I. tour. I am not scared of war and dont care for the reason. I love to fight. Ive been fighting since I was in kindergarden. But I also have on intention and only one. I take pride in fighting for this country. And I love the Corps. All I want to do is lead the best Marines into battle and bring them all home alive. That to me is the most important thing. To bring home peoples sons, daughters, husbands, wives, dads and moms back safe. I know alot and because of me I would bring them all back safe. I would sacrifice myself for any of my troops. I have put myself personnally at risk against the enemy to save the lives of my troops and civilians not for medals or awards or thanks, but to keep people alive! Am I crazy? Oh yes I am A Marine

I am not crazy I know this. I dont go around starting fights or getting into trouble. I just simply Loved being a Marine more than anything. I got promoted so fast most people dont beleive it. I just want to bring back Marines and any other service members. I did not get turned down and didnt get booted. I got out after 4 and a half years. I am A E-6. I just went to take my oath on thursday to reenlist. I was out for 4 years and our now going back in. This time I wont do the stupid mistake of getting out again.

I fight for the troops not the reasons of war. Even though I think that Sudam had to be taken out. Its not about the reasons any more. Kosovo was a good reason, to stop genicide, Afgan was good cause of 9-11 I raq was good cause of sudam. But the truth is I fight in recognition of the country. Even though there are somethings that I dont beleive in, I beleive in backing the country that gives us freedoms that many countries dont have. Our Constitution. Our troops!

thank you god....this is so refreshing to hear compared to these post tramautic stress syndrome crybabies. sir I will personally pray for your safety and for the lord above to give u strength. thank you...by the way u r not crazy u just put others wellbeing before ur own. iam not a marine but what the hell...
HORRAH...i hope I spelled that right...
wow, dave man calm down, if u r not in the service chances are a marine can and will take u (trust me I did some ground fighting training with them...least to say they kicked my butt) any way I digress, dont pay them any mind (to the marine not dave) no matter y u fight, u save lives end of story. people want to fight it is a natural thing do not be ashamed of it. that is y i am joining (army but still the millitary) better as a soldier than a criminal. (iam in no way associating or implying any soldier of any branch is like this, I refer only to myself!!!)

No not crazy just a Marine with a heart of gold.
I for one do not like the war, do not believe we should have ever gone there.
But I do support our troops. I know you love us and will follow orders.
I know men that are in Iraq, my co-worker, my nephew, and my daughters friends,
They went because they wanted to protect us, not because they believed in the war, but because
"they were sent so they they went" ccje
my quote not someone eases.
I am Proud of the fact you will risk your life for the safety of your fellow man. Not because it is your job, but because you feel you have to.
I take pride in saluting you as you walk down the street, I shed a tear for those who did not come back, my heart breaks when i see a scared solider.
My nephew was on the flying hospital as a Dr. My friend was on the flying hospital from protecting a bridge.
Now i ask you one thing.
What did they tell you you were fighting for?
When you got there was that still true?
I know what my friends have said, now i want to know what you say.
There are lots of questions on Answers that ask about Bush, but the answers get thumbs down when we talk about Bush. I just want to know...one American asking a soilder.
Thank you for answering my questions...that is what I always get.
They are not fighting for the president...they are fighting for the USA

I believe many if not most Marines would volunteer to go back to Iraq. Based on the tone of your post, I am not sure I believe you are a Marine. A Marine with the attitude you claim is not crazy. You just may be.

You are not unlike many Marines, some really like to fight! I don't think your crazy, better to go to Iraq & be able to do some fighting where it is needed than to start gunning down your neighbors!
My guess is that you are where you need to be, in the corps. They need men like you to lead others into compat. But have you spoken with anyone in the mental health field? Could be that you have combat stress & need help in adjusting to state-side duty for awhile. My ex-husband also felt the need to rejoin the military; he did but was not sent to a compat zone, he was sent to France & proceeded to get into all types of trouble, until they found that he suffered from Post tramatic stress from the Korean war of years before. Look into it before they suggest that you do.

I can't say positively that you are crazy, but even if the sentiments are noble, the delivery sounds like it.
And anyway, why do you ask? you went enlist for another tour and they dismissed you as a head case? what's the story?

ignore all these jerks who want to give you grief.
thanks to people like you, these jerks can sit around in front of their computer and say **** like "big" dave did. apparently their mommas never taught them any respect.
i think you are to be commended. you want to bring home people's families, and keep them safe while they're there. you sir, and your fellows, are the hope of this nation. of this world. and i thank you, and wish you well. good luck, and Godspeed.
