I'm out of the U.S. Army with another than honerable (i think thats what it is, it's been a year) discharge. What is the chances of them calling me back? My husband is deployed to Afghanistan and we have a 7 month old daughter. What are the chances?

Your 'less than desireable' should keep you home with the baby. That, in laymen's terms means they don't really want you back. That's a good thing, because we are not all cut out to be Rambo.

Even if they did call you back, I believe you could qualify for hardship, since you are the remaining parent.

How sad is that, when mothers of infants are concerned about being rounded up to fight our wars. We are a country of three hundred milliion people, and there are so many deadbeats out there, doing nothing with their miserable lives, and the US hasn't figured out a way to put these people to work, killing insurgents, or sweeping floors, or something!

Don't know your chances but if you get mobilized tell them that hubby is already deployed. It will stall you some time. In the mean time tell them that you refuse to sign a Family Care Plan. You will have to have a preacher or other community leader sign saying your family is unable to care for your child. Then they have to seperate you from service and the IRR for no FCP. Then your service requirements will be fullfilled. Hope this bit of info helped a little
