It is not because of women, it is because of the men. Men are naturally disgusting and perverted. Women can not join the Infantry either. Men would be distracted and could not do their very important job, the military sees' it as to risky. I have women under and above me in my unit and the are just as good, if not sometimes better soldiers than men.

Women can not serve in combat positions, and the Navy SEALS are a combat position, they also ride in subs which have been historically against women serving because then they would have to fit the sub with women areas and while you can now get on them as an officer it is still a little hard. Women also for the most part can not be as physically strong as men and most times the SEALS do stuff that require great physical strength. Yes some women would do it and be well but the military says it is so and so that is what it is.

Careers once seen as forbidden to women in the military have opened up to them. Women are just as good as men when it comes to soldiering. However, there are some situations where that are more suited for men to handle. The Seal teams are an example of that. It is just a matter of genetics. There are some jobs women are more adept at, and some men are. It is just something you can't change.

Women, by LAW can not be in any job that is a combat job. SEALS is a combat job in the Navy. Women can be in any branch yes, but they can NOT be in any job that is considered a combat one. So no: Infantry Armor Cavalry Artillery Special Operations to include Special Forces Rangers 160th SOAR MARSOC Force Recon Pararescue Combat Controller TACP Combat Weather SWCC and yes SEALS The reasons are not sexist, they are biological and physiological. @ Bread Crumbs. Combat Engineer is NOT considered a combat MOS by the Army. Many many people have gone to Sapper School, OTHER than combat engineers. Occasionally the Army sends women to various combat schools as a publicity stunt. A few years ago, a female was even sent to Army Sniper school, and they graduated her. Has she been allowed to be a Sniper since? Absolutely not.

because it's special ops and woman aren't allowed. just like woman aren't allowed on front lines and aren't allowed in subs. on top of that, seals are arguablly the toughest special ops the u.s. has. sea, land, and air, baby! the training they have to go through is insane and in times of war have to be able to pick up and carry a fallen comrad to safty quickly and efficiently without being hit themselves. yes i agree that we should be able to answer the seal challenge, but think of it this way: the navy spends soooo much money into their training and maintaining and it's a highly selective process and they want to make sure their money doesn't get wasted. then there's the whole deal about women being less emotionally stable then men and us women having to go through and deal with our menstral cycle unlike men. a seal has to be able to block everything out and do his duty no matter how bloody it gets and have to be ready to jump into action on call. now... why they don't let us in submarines... now that pisses me off. :P but seals i can understand a bit more.

Yes women are just as good as men but unfortunatly they aren't as physically strong as men and because it takes a lot of phscial strenght to be a Seal it's not the right career choice for women.

Very few men have the intestinal fortitude necessary to become a U.S. Navy Seal. Women just don't pack the gear.

NOt to be sexist, but women are not able to be in combat jobs, like when i was in the army because their standards are lowered so that they can even be in the military. I mean i had to do a minimum of like 50 pushup and women 13 pushups...is that equal. same with running situps and weight.

no offense to women (i respect them) but there are some jobs that women are unable to perform due to their physical capacity. The navy seals is one of those jobs
