He's not a Navy Seal yet, but he will be, I have confidence in him. BUT... I am curious when he may be able to write? He left on a plane Monday and was supposed to start training on Tuesday I think. Can anyone maybe give me an idea so I don't die by my mailbox??

Most of you lonely b i t c h e s don't have to be rude. I spent 21 years as a dependant in the military and I saw my father for 4 of them. I asked a simple question - - I guess I should have said - do the seals get a single day of rest their entire buds training? they do, otherwise they'd die of heart failure or something of that nature. For god sakes they have to run 4 miles in 28 minutes, swim in 58 degree water under water for 50 yards, carry rafts with 7 other men in bdu's and boots on wet sand for miles... If anything I know what i'm getting myself into - - a loving relationship - - it's called support. Excuse me for being "CURIOUS." I am pretty sure I didn't say, "hey i'm a stupid girl who is crying about letters..." send me some love or drop dead.

Don't drive yourself crazy looking for letters. He's going to be REALLY busy and not going to get to write as much as you want him to. Whenever my husband has to be gone I always tell myself that he won't get phone calls or time to write and then when and if he does I'm happy about it but it keeps me from feeling let down if he doesn't get a chance.Like the other army wife was saying... When you're attached to someone in the military you really come to see the wisdom in the saying "patience is a virtue". Good luck...and hope he makes it through!

Get a LIFE! He will write when the Military allows him to....it may be different with the Navy, but when my DH joined the Army a few years ago, TRAINING was more important than writing letters home...
I would say get used to not hearing from him, but ... well, I will keep my opinions about the Navy to myself.

learn to wait a long long time! he may get a chance tomorrow, or it could be a month. He might have an opportunity but be too tired. If you're gonna be with this man patience is a virtue.
