Military - January 2007

Just wondering...i mean so far i think i have sent it all...but what about something themed? Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this? I am always looking for new ideas or certain foods i can send him. He wishes for my home cooking but their is no way i can send that unfortunately. Thanks in advance..i know we have valentines day coming up soon so i will send out something for that. :)

can anyone tell me, with a 100% certainty where av school is. some people tell me that it is in Pensacola while others tell me that it is in Tennessee. my recruiter is no help. i am praying that it is in Pensacola cuz i hear that it is great. anyone who has been there recently would be the best bet. i hear that they move it around because of hurricanes. i could use some tips on wwhat types of math and science i should study so i could prepare for it, or do they teach ypu everything from the bottom up?thanks alot!

Please don't be mean! I am just curious because the brother of a friend of mine just went to Iraq and he is in the marines. My friend told me that he gets offended when people say he is in the navy and vice versa (people in the navy get offended if you get them confused with the marines)

im wondering what happens if a soldier in Iraq decides he can't take it anymore and leaves without permission? i know it is illegal but is it something you get fined for? go to jail for? or go to federal prison for?

I want to Join thr MARINES but im not sure because of the whole presidential address and how bush will send out 22,000... i also want something that has a shoeter tearm maybe 2 years not in combat though..i mean like reserves... im really not sure but i really do want to join ...plzz help me out... thanks

Fighting insurgencies requires doing what the Turks did... with only a squadron or two they controlled mass populations as Occupiers (which is what the US is in Iraq now). They got the "local notables" and told them look, if you don't get your people YOUR PEOPLE to get off thier asses and find the insurgents who they are hiding and lying to us about then hey there will be escalating punishments all the way up to mass executions, sorry deal with it. And guess what? They got results, and didn't waste good trained valuable soldiers.

INSTEAD we are doing Vietnam Part 2 and letting this insurgency ruin our moral in Irag and walk all over us again, Gutless politicians, brave troops (with thier hands tied). It is pathetic.

You fight wars to win, not maintain corporate rule. Americans should know this it is how WE won over the British.

Maybe Bush doesn't want us to win in Iraq? Pelosi? c'mon people...

Win or send em all home and let it be as Vietnam was, peace with dignity.

If the Republicans want to increase the number of troops we're sending to the Middle East, let's have their kids go first ... with the Bush twins in the lead! By how many would the troops increase if all the Administration's and Legislative bodies' kids or grandkids had to volunteer? Anyone have any idea?

Now that we are in the middle of a new troop surge into Iraq, that will place more troops in harms way, than we have ever before in the history of this war. All those troops will also be vulnerable to a single act of terrorism. What do you recommend the US do if such a attack actually happens (remember Beirut)? Would we bring all of our troops home then, or would we loose all consciousness, and attack our enemies with a vengeance never before seen? What do you think?

Why does the media make the war look so bad by a daily death count. Consider the following.....there were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in january. In the fair city of detroit there were 35 murders in the month of january. THATS JUST ONE AMERICAN CITY ABOUT AS DEADLY AS THE ENTIRE WAR-TORN NATION OF IRAQ. The media does not make this compairison or a comparison to other wars. Do you agree that the media has a political agenda behind there braudcasting.
