ok i know i am going to receive tons of hate mail for this but i am going to stand for what i believe in and be honest. i hope that as adults you will accept and value my opinion as mine..... but if you dont then just know that this is how i feel and i wont change my mind.

answer.......... i think given the first information that the call to war was a good call (hindsight being 20 20 cant count since it wasnt available). from what i know now(after the fact), i probably wouldnt have supported the war, but we cant turn back time we can only go forward. now since we are in war (good call on bad info), i think it is too late to change our minds. too much has happened for us to say oops and walk away. these people REALLY REALLY HATE US NOW. just yesterday i came across someone on here that was asking how to get a visa and 3 hours later asked if wipping out all americans would be best for all of planet earth. i feel really bad that all this happened but they are not hiding the fact that they want to reetaliate in a big big way.

i am not sure about you but when very angry men show up at my door with a death wish and tell me that they want my family dead to revenge their fallen,,, i dont open the door and let them in.

to leave now and walk away is to do just that. until we can do something in iraq..like rebuild and make the streets safe, we have no business leaving.

we were wrong........ we need to see this through and help these people get their lives back together. until we can offer them hope, they will not give up their anger.

AGAIN... I AM SORRY FOR THOSE THAT WERE HURT BY OUR BAD INFORMATION AND I'D PERSONALLY MAKE IT ALL BETTER IF I COULD........unfortunately i dont have that power.

why dont you read a little history, ever hear of the Iran-Iraq war in the 80's? well let me fill you in, saddam had a problem with Kurds in the north, saddam had mustard gas, the kurds didnt last long.

as was said this war wasnt just about WMD and people are right who knows what we will find in the middle of a desert? or they could have been transfered do a diffrent country such as syria. also yuo need to realise that if we left the blood that would be spilled would be a thousand times worse then it is now, do to the fact that the sunnis hate the shia and the shia hate the sunnis. there killing each other over here.

as for the more people dead im pretty confident Hussein didnt go around internationally and advertise the fact that he was "disappering" people left and right

some common understanding of RECENT events would be helpful i suggest you do a little reascher open a book or two itll help you for when you make assured statments that have no grounding in factual reaility

First off WMDs was not the only reason we went into Iraq. Bush had an entire listing of reasons we went in there and WMDs were not the top of the list.
Secondly, I've been to Iraq twice. Do you have any idea what we dig up in the deserts there? I've seen tanks and MIGs pulled out of the ground; God only knows if there are WMDs and we haven't found them. Just because we haven't found them YET doesn't mean they don't exist.
Last, Saddam was killing hundreds of thousands of people a year through torture (not the Abu Ghraid crap, which wasn't torture, just humiliatiion); real torture, the kind that lives people mentally retarded, maimed, and crippled. Saddam was a monster, make no mistake.
The news doesn't show ANY good coming out of Iraq. The people are happy we are there; they are happy we are helping them. Schools have been built and people have more freedom then ever. Every time a country steps towards freedom there is blood shed, tears, and death; without it our country would still be sipping tea and eating crumpets under the dear Queen of England.

I'm not an expert on the death thing, but I'd disagree. If the U.S. wouldn't have interveined with terrorists there would be much more deaths. Have you notice how Russia likes to sell things to small countries? In no time, the terrorists would be on their way to the U.S. in a big container ship. Which would you prefer, a slight amount of military deaths or masses of civilian deaths? And don't give me coast guard stuff. They might come up from Mexico and they might get blaimed for it.

They had weapons of mass destruction. Ever heard of the Iran-Iraq war? The Iran-i-nese soldiers got their butts handed to them for Suddams chemical weapons. Remember, a weapon doesn't have to be nuclear to be a WMD. The ak-47 is often classified as one for it's widespread use.

Let me say that since we have invaded Iraq there have not been any attacks on the United States and as far as the weapons of mass destruction goes wouldn't you rather be safe and look for them instead of them blowing up in your back yard. Saddam killed MILLIONS of people when he was in control so i don't think that many have died in this war and 3,000 american lives were taken to help keep the terrorists out of our country so they don't kill you, you know we are not there for our health or entertainment or for fun we are there to protect the people of america andnow the democrats are saying that the americans are turning Iraqi children into Jihadists and are feeling sory for the terriorists that we are killing over there when they are plotting to kill you, why are people forgetting 9-11 IT HAPPENED and if we were not in Iraq then it would happen again.

Save your breath. You can't change the minds of everyone. There were no WMDs. And it is true that hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians have died as a result of Bush's so-called war on terror, better named 'war against evil, no country excluded', INCLUDING the United States.
Iraq can take care of her own problems. We have done enough damage to that country which is nothing more now than field sof death and destruction. No WMD's were transferred anywhere. No WMD's were buried in any desert leastwise that 356 mile long desert between Kuwait and Bagdad. THEIR wars were THEIR wars. OUR wars were OUR wars.
Get out USA.

the truth is, 9/11 and this war is all a lie. There was no terrorist attack, it was all an planned psychological attack on the american people to give president bush all the power he wants to do whatever he wants. The war in iraq was just an excuse to control Iraqi's oil. President bush planned all this and made us believe it. I'm sorry to offend anybody, but I have been doing investigation myself on 9/11 and bush's motives. Its quite surprising you know.

And how many more people do you think would be dead had we never gone to war with Iraq? Just because we couldn't find and WMD doesn't mean they weren't there. They had months to destroy them before we ever got there. Besides, we did find one BIG WMD named Saddam Hussein and we took care of it.
