Why does the media make the war look so bad by a daily death count. Consider the following.....there were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in january. In the fair city of detroit there were 35 murders in the month of january. THATS JUST ONE AMERICAN CITY ABOUT AS DEADLY AS THE ENTIRE WAR-TORN NATION OF IRAQ. The media does not make this compairison or a comparison to other wars. Do you agree that the media has a political agenda behind there braudcasting.

The media absolutely has a political agenda, but the situation is Iraq is very bad. And you really can't compare this to other wars, because our technology is so much greater than that of our adversary, as compared to WWII where we were up against an equally well trained and well-equipped conventional enemy on all fronts. This is a terror war where we can't tell who our enemy is or where he may may be, and his greatest weapon is civilian death and fear.

What the media has done is polarize the world against us, to include people who might otherwise have allied with us even in Iraq. The press has sensationalized Gitmo, Abu Graib, and every incident of "possible" wrong doing by our troops, convicting them without benefit of a trial before an already suspicious Iraqi audience. The press understands that strength is valued above all qualities, and ME nations do not take the outrage of occupation well. THEN, we weaken ourselves by being forced to appease and placate the more moderate Muslims. We tie the hands of our troops with unreasonable rules of engagement, and keep them out of sight so it doesn't stir up "occupation" anger. All this plays into the hands of the enemy who understand the press better than we do.

I think you are exactly correct!

The media is a liberal streem of information that will do what it can to make the President and the administration look bad!

With that being said - it is NOT always when there is a Republican President. The media HAMMERED President Clinton while he was in office.... and, President George H. Bush, President Reagan.... I could go on and on!

Basically - as sad as it is... the media want to sell their newspapers... and that can only be done when people by them!

In general - people harp on the negative. Therefore, I think the liberals will do whatever they have to... in order to turn a profit!

They spout off all of the worst case scenarios - and the hardest part... people actually take what they say as 100% accurate and fact!

I wish they would show the POSITIVE side to this war- and the wonderful impact the soldiers are making on a DAILY basis!

I completely agree with you. The liberal media has blown this whole war out of proportion because they don't believe we should be liberating a country, even though they unanimously voted yes to invade Iraq.

Ask any soldier, and they will say what they are doing in Iraq is making a difference. Ask anyone from the media, however, and they will begin to insult our brave men and women in the military.

I think the mainstream media is controlled by the Governement and Zionist lobby and no they don't talk enough about the war. They spend more time on Britney Spears and Hillary Clinton than the war. Its sick. Bring our troops home. Anyone with any intelligence knows from the evidence that Sept 11 was a controlled demolition and there were explosives all through the buildings. Watch 'Loose Change' to find out.

Most definitely, politically motivated, then reasoning to not broadcast domestic deaths in the USA versus those in any war we are in, is built on a majority of public interest. I can only express that, yes, we need to fix our home first(socially/economically), before running abroad into more and more wars.
