America demonstrates the effectiveness of its technology every day. I recently viewed a film clip where a helo took out 2 trucks and 3 enemies from overhead without the 'insurgents' knowing they were there. I don't remember the distance but it was quite a shot! We don't brag about our technology, we go out and use it until those little buggers are DEAD. You must not be an American and a young one at that to ask such an uninformed question. Why do you foreigners think Americans are a bunch of low IQ morons. Try getting your facts straight before you try to bad mouth us. Then you won't look so foolish in front of us.
As far as the heat beam it is not in general use YET. Just hope YOU don't have the chance to be subject to our technology which we DON'T brag about. We have technology in OUR military you couldn't even begin to imagine. So, since you don't know what you're talking about, put a sock in it!

The heat beam is not practical in most of the insurgency situations. It is only a defensive tool, to be used in open areas, to make enemies back off to some distance. An RPG or 7.62mm bullet travels farther than that distance.
If you understood how technologies worked, you might appreciate the difficulties and the practical applications.
Of course, we could demonstrate an ICBM and completely solve the Iraq problem. I figure you really don't want us to demonstrate the most effective technology.

This is a good question. Why don't we use some of our advanced technology to have an astounding victory?
I know we are ready to end this endless war we are waging in Iraq.

"Heat beam?"
If America is bragging about a "heat beam" - they're not doing a very good job of it because I've never heard about it - and neither has anyone I just asked.
You must have an in on some of our secret technology. I strongly suspect this "heat beam" sounds like a rather indiscriminent weapon - and that's the tactics used by the terrorists - not the U.S.

if you watched or read anything about the ray beam, you would know it hasnt gone into production. every weapon system no matter what it is has to go thrugh a test period before it goes through production. then once its in that phase it goes to units which take time also. thats all before it can be deployed.
