I have a situation I need advice on. I'm in the Army and getting out in a year. I have a chance to come back to the desert and make six figures a year or go to college and gain a degree. There is also one more opportunity i am not too sure of which involves me staying in the army "which I am not to fond of" and going to work at the White House. So any advice i could get from someone would be much appreciated.

Thank You,
Mike Jones

The Book "Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara is turned into three historical novels that center on the Battle of Gettysburg, but proceed and followed by books written by Michael Shaara's Son Jeff Shaara. The first bood is entiltled "Gods and Generals," and then the Fathers book, "Killer Angels" and finally the third book writtten by Jeff Shaara again entiteled, "The Last Full Measure of Devotion."
This plan for additional troops to Iraq sounds like the last full measure of devotion. It is the need to prove that American's truly believed as a matter of devotion that we must make this effort even if it means just a sacrifice of young men and women to please the "Pick Locks of History" and turn this giant mistake of going to war for no reason other than an effort to dominate the people of the Middle East and expose our selfish and simplistic under belly to the world of Nations and United Nations for their condemnation of this War and the United States for starting and waging the Iraq War.

THE SOLDIERS NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

By Major Bruce W. Lovely

(With Apologies to Clement Moore Who First Wrote the Story for His Children in 1822 also credit given to M/Sgt Noah Brazos Ross, RA18033195, a USArmy 18th Field Artillery survivor of Utah Beach, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Battle for the Ardennes, Deutschland wrote "Daddy's Christmas" (Soldier's Christmas)" as a Bonita, Montague County, Texas, high school exercise in 1937)

THE SOLDIERS NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone,
In a one bedroom house made of plaster & stone.
I had come down the chimney with presents to give
And to see just who in this home did live.
I looked all about a strange sight I did see,
No tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.
No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand,
On the wall hung pictures of far distant lands.

With medals and badges, awards of all kind
A sober thought came through my mind.
For this house was different, so dark and dreary,
I knew I had found the home of a soldier, once I could see clearly.

I heard stories about them, I had to see more
So I walked down the hall and pushed open the door.
And there he lay sleeping silent alone,
Curled up on the floor in his one bedroom home.

His face so gentle, his room in such disorder,
Not how I pictured a United States soldier.
Was this the hero of whom I'd just read?
Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed?

His head was clean shaven, his weathered face tan,
I soon understood this was more than a man.
For I realized the families that I saw that night
Owed their lives to these men who were willing to fight.

Soon `round the world, the children would play,
And grownups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day.
They all enjoyed freedom each month of the year,
Because of soldiers like this one lying here.

I couldn´t help wonder how many lay alone
On a cold Christmas Eve in a land far from home.
Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye,
I dropped to my knees and started to cry.

The soldier awakened and I heard a rough voice,
"Santa don´t cry, this life is my choice;
I fight for freedom, I don´t ask for more,
my life is my God, my country, my Corps."

With that he rolled over and drifted off into sleep,
I couldn´t control it, I continued to weep.
I watched him for hours, so silent and still,
I noticed he shivered from the cold night´s chill.

So I took off my jacket, the one made of red,
And I covered this Soldier from his toes to his head.
And I put on his T-shirt of gray and black,
With an eagle and an Army patch embroidered on back.

And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride,
And for a shining moment, I was United States Army deep inside.
I didn´t want to leave him on that cold dark night,
This guardian of honor so willing to fight.

Then the soldier rolled over, whispered with a voice so clean and pure,
"Carry on Santa, it's Christmas Day, all is secure."
One look at my watch, and I knew he was right,
Merry Christmas my friend, and to all a good night!

how many people in America really know what is going on or happening in Israel and the middle east , at this time?
If you read the Jewish owned or controlled news media , you will only hear one side of what is goin on, do you read other versions?
why has the U,N, santioned Israel so many times for their actions?
why doe's America protect them every time , against the U,N,?
Doe's their use of cluster bombs faze you ? youdoknow they have been banned by every nation don't you? except Israel ,
Is it because over 60%of Americas congress and senate are Jewish? and they either own or controll our news media?
I am asking these questions as I spent 23 years in the marine corps , 2 tours in Lebanon, and have seen the carnage Israel has perpertrated on the Arabic peope, I am disgusted and I just want to know if I have been putting my life on the line and my scrifices for Israel or for what I thought was my country,

I came back from the jacksonville MEPS, 3 days ago.My MOS is military police. I am going to Fort leowood,Mo for bct, in 1 year. I am going to Iraq in 3 years. What do i have to look forward to in iraq as a M.P. I heard stories, that MPs will have to raid houses and do the same job as an infantry soldier in iraq. Every soldier that i've met, told me the outcome of MPs staying alive or keeping their body intact is slim to none. Another question is it possible for me to change my MOS, or is it too late. Appreciate any advice. Once, i told everyone my MOS, they told me "good luck in iraq"

As some of you may already know, the US Postal Service issued a Islamic stamp to celebrate the Muslim holy day of Eid in September 2001. It is a beautiful dark blue stamp with gold Arabic writing.

This is the ONLY regular first class stamp endorsed by President Bush on the White House web page. He says that all Americans should use the stamp and that Islam is a religion of peace.

He personally uses this stamp when he sends greetings to Muslims in honor of the Eid Holy Day.

Did you and your family follow the President's advice and use this stamp to send letters, cards, and packages to your loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan?
