Israel has a very up-to-date military industry. I live less than one kilomerer from Israel Military Industry ( IMI) and they are constantly researching new military technology.

Israel would still be friends with the US if the US stopped giving weapons to israel but that is not the reason why the US does this.
The US gives israel weapons to maintain the balance of power in the middle east and to ensure the survival of the jewish homeland. in a way this is to ensure that another holocauset does not happen.

That would never happen. USA is a puppet of Israel. USA pays for everything Israeli. In fact, guess who paid for the recent Israel-Lebanon war.

"Reports from the Kremlin today are portraying President Putin as being 'furious' with the American War Leader Bush over his breaking of a promise to the Russian President to not provide US funding to the Israelis for their Lebanese War. Less than 3 weeks after making this promise the United States used a little known provision in their security agreements with Israel to fully pay for the war"....

Israel produces her own small arms, her own tank, etc. and when they couldn't reach an agreement on US planes, they bought French in the past. They are not dependent on US arms, though I'm sure they appreciate the Patriot III anti-missile system, for instance. But that system allows them to stay out of some fights they'd otherwise be in, not for their benefit so much as for ours, so it's they who are doing us a favor.

No. But I think the world would be a more peaceful place. Who has been more action oriented? Arabs or Israel. The answer is obvious.
