There is no such thing as Area 51.It is just a myth people make.Activities that occured near Groom Dry Lake are specific activities that are classified.I have a copy of USAF on Area 51
Here it says:
"This responds to your letter to the Secretary of the Air Force regarding "Area 51".
Neither the Air Force nor the Department of Defense owns or operates any location known as "Area 51".There are variety of activities, some which are classified, throughout what is often called the Air Force's Nellis Range Complex. There is an operating location near the Groom Dry Lake.Specific activities and operations conducted on the Nellis Range, both past and present, remain classified and cannot be discussed publicly.
We hope this information is helpful.
Sincerely by:
Jeffrey A. Rammes,Major,USAF
Cheif,White House Inquiry Branch
Office of Legislative Liaison
This is what the letter says.So there is no such thing as "Area 51".

Yes, there actually is.
Although I don't know if the government has ever officially acknowledged the existence of the base - physically it exists, has been photographed, and people have tried to investigate for decades.
Check:
http://www.google.com/search?q=Area+51&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
For more information.
Basically, it pretty much consists of an airbase where super secret aircraft such as the U2 and the SR71 Blackbird , the F117 Stealth fighter (the 'wobbly goblin) were tested...
Cool question,
-dh

Yes, there is, in Nevada near Nellis AFB. The Government will neither confirm nor deny its existence. For having asked this question, you, and all responders, will be thoroughly investigated by the US Department of Defense. (Just kidding -- maybe)

The government doesn't deny its existence. You must be watching too many science fiction movies.
