Military - December 2006

It seems that every question on this site is just begging for people to rant about how Bush is the worst president ever. Don't get me wrong, I am definately no fan of his, but I think talk of impeachment is going much to far. And as for those of you who insult members of the military, I have no respect for you. Those people don't choose the wars they are sent to fight and many of them are kids just looking for a way to pay for college (myself being someone who is considering enlisting for just such a reason).

A friend of my sisters comes over with his brother. His brother is on a two week leave from the Army... been in the Army 1 year... hasn't been to Iraq but going soon.

So, I bite my tongue being the anti-war person that I am for as long as I could... one hour into the visit......... here I go = questions to this 18 year old kid on why he joined.

I did it very diplomatically and non-attacking.
Ask him stuff like"
"What made you join during war time"
"Does the politics of the war matter to you" - had to explain that
"Is it for camaraderie" - had to define camaraderie
"Can you place Iraq on the map" = no
"How do you feel going to fight for a controversial war"

This is the honest truth: He said and I swear, "I'll get to blow stuff up."

Regardless of the last statement, as an anti-war person and ex-ARMY BTW, it was all I could do to not preach at this kid.

The real question is: Is 17 too young to join the military? (he had parental consent at 17)

is it not wastage of time, money and precious manhours of a soldier in doing parade......some of the parade done in army are followed more as a ritual like gaurd of honour, by reducing the number of parade done by these soldiers, the manpower can be utilised effectively.

Americans are only worried about the number of their soldiers killed in the war?
How many innocent people were killed by them? They do not tell any numbers.

If that's true, then could the proper authorities enter your home and search your property and check in to see if you are actually using your purchase legally? Are you publically posted so that anyone could find out that you now possess a firearm suppressor?

All over the world, the volunteer citizen-soldiers of the United States stand in harms way so we can shop in malls, gather with friends and family in peace and safety, and take in a holiday feast.

Many of our troops are far from home, some in dangerous and deadly places. All for us, whether you like it or not.

So here is my Holiday tribute to these outstanding courageous people:

Where-ever you are. THANK YOU! And MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Do you think the amount of wars would decrease?

Have you ever heard of Negroponte?
He organized death squads in Guatemala which resulted in decades of civil war.

Sound familar to you? Death squads in Iraq... hired mercenairies paid by the CIA to kill Sunnis and Shi'ias to make it look like they were killing each other. Once the CIA primes the pump of hatred, they step back a little a watch the carnage. The British MI6 spy agency started this technique called... "FALSE FLAG AND LOW INTENSITY OPERATIONS".

Hundreds of these types of opps have been carried out by the US and British government attacking their own people or allies to provoke armed conflict.
