there has never been and Australian-American war. therefore it could never have ended. a list of the wars America has been are listed below:

The American Revolution
War of 1812
Mexican-American War
The Civil War
The Spanish-American War
World War I
World War II
cold war
The Korean War
Vietnam War
Desert Storm
Operation Enduring Freedom
Iraqi Freedom

there is however a austrilian american war memorial:

Australian American War Memorial is a large memorial in the suburb of Russell in Canberra, Australia. It is 78 metres high, made from aluminium and is visible from much of central Canberra. An eagle sits at the top of the tall pole.

Text on a plaque on the memorial reads:

IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE
OF THE VITAL HELP GIVEN BY THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DURING
THE WAR IN THE PACIFIC 1941-45
UNVEILED BY
HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II
FEBRUARY 16th 1954

hopefully this will answer your question

There was no "Australian American war". There is, however, an Australian-American war MEMORIAL in Australia, not commemorating a war between us, but rather commmemorating the help we gave Australia during WWII.

The Aussies have always been our pals.

Austrians, on the other hand, in WWII, is different. Hitler was from Austria (not Australia).

About 1 million Americans (Yanks) invaded, landed in Australia
in 1942. General MacArthur was the ruthless commander,
although not well documented the Americans carried off many Australian women and shipped back to the states. The "Diggers"
Aussie soldiers were tied up in North Africa and well when they got home in 1943-44, well all the best looking ladies were gone, vanished, well a few were less than pin-up types.

Most of the battles were fought in pubs and on the beaches
of New South Wales.

I was in Sydney in 1969, in was still rough: those Aussie's act friendly as they watched poor Americans try and keep up drinking with them in a pub. Many a soldier and US Marine fell outside a pub. In Vietnam I noticed the Aussie soldiers never wore steel pots, helmets: seems the Aussie was protecting his other head in that war.

But the bottom line is, was that they do not speak English,
seems that Mel Gibson and Russell Crowe and Olivia Newton-Johnwere not born in Australia: suspect the Aussies have secret "SAS" commando teams that steal talented babies from all over the world still.

Never eat "steak" in Australia either: it is kangaroo!

The Army still maintains a Defense language Institute course to train translators in speaking Australian. But the tricky Aussies have an entire communication battalion that are Australian Aborigine and speak a language known to no Americans.

The Aboriginal boomerang is reportedly now nuclear capable.

But other than their women I can see no reason to invade again,
the beer they drink is toxic (Foster's that is export junk as to poison Yanks), they drive on the wrong side of the road: think they learned it from the Japanese in WWII: Kamikazies or whatever.

They play "Football" but spell it wrong and usually like to roll around in the mud with other men playing "Rugby" but never, never make fun of that they will put you on the "Barbee" and cook then eat you!

They may well be all "convict bastards" (as they are) but they are not really that bad, granted I'd die before my daughter marry one, yet they do seem to have the concept of military well in hand.

Good Question.

Americans need to be warned about "Down Under"

PS

never, never, (dance) Waltz with Matilda! (she is the fat, ugly daughter of one of their Kings or something like that!

If you're talking about a 'trade' war where we're fighting each other for global markets, then it hasn't ended yet and won't for a long time to come. But deep down we still love each other.

Get serious and not ignorant.
