During times of peace many young people are selecting the military as an option. There are many benifits to the choice. Education, training and employment. However, during a war they are ask to complete the job they were trained for. Most do so honorabily. But there are those who feel they should not fight and look to get out of their situation because they face death. Are they victims or not?

I have to have a medical exam to join the navy next month but hate medical exams. Can anyone tell me what will happen-will I have to undress and if so are they likely to do a pelvic exam?
I have also herd rumors of people having rectal exams-will I have to have one?
If anyone could help so that I will be more prepared then that would be good.

since it was the u.s navy that shot it down, there were 360 civillians on board including women and children( that don't mean any thing to u.s military),was anyone ever charged, as it is a war crime and one of many crimes commited by the u.s, including dropping a 2000 pound bunker busting bomb on an under ground bomb shelter used by civillians in the first gulf war killing 150 women and children, and another 2000 pound ordance bomb dropped on iraqi civillians on a crowded market in the second iraq war, killing 230 people, and in kosovo they dropped a smart bomb on fleeing convoy of women and children killing over 100 people. now was anyone charged for these war crimes?

If Iran is allowed to have Nuclear weapons there is a good chance they can give them to their proxies like Hezboulah to attack Israel or Europe.

If The United States bombs them they can respond by influencing a revolt in Iraq and Lebanon and setting the Middle East on fire.

and an internal coup can backfire in so manyways that can result in the above.

I also find it unlikely that Iran will willingly give up their Nuclear reaserch and it looks like no one is willing to put serious economic sanctions on Iran.

any suggestions?

as the report came out this morning at 245 on cnn... i'm still reading it and understanding it more since its only been out foor 15 mins but, does "It's clear the Iraqi government will need U.S. assistance for some time to come, especially in carrying out new security responsibilities. Yet the U.S. must not make open-ended commitments to keep large numbers of troops deployed in Iraq." mean that we are going to just leave iraq a total mess?? and does that mean they will be a less total of troops in iraq?

Taking into consideration that innocent people daily being killed in Iraq and many of those who are lucky to be living wish that Saddam come back to power ,, he seems to have a better control on Iraq peace,, also lots of them they blame the states of the people divition into secterian groups and the States have ignored the formation of the killing groups while focusing on Al Qaida killers,, at the time there was no Al Qaida killers to kill the Iraqi pepole before the states came to libirate Iraq,,, what a liberty !!,, let killers come all into your peaceful house to kill you for an exchange of democracy... I think the states are in total mess,, so what do you think?!

I was separated from the Navy in Oct 2004, paperwork states March 05. Court Martialed in San Diego for AWOL. OTH was given to me. RE-4 separtion code on my dd214. Now, I need to know if there is a chance for me to get back into the Navy. Possibly a waiver from the service secretary? and that would be? Would writing my congressman help? I need to know what I can do and if there is anyone out there willing to help, please do so. There is more to the story, but what matters right now is what is in black and white, and I need to fix what I have damaged. I regret my actions and I want to do what it takes to get back in. I have to try, I can not be content without putting forth effort. I am willing to share all info concerning my prior enlistment with someone who can help. If your out there, respond. This is NOT a waste of time, but something worth striving for. Email me your contact number, if you would like. Please advise. Thank you for your time.

Not down playing anything. Wrong is wrong. But if equal is equal why do attrocites in Chechnya ignored while Iraq makes the front page everytime someone in the coalitions forces passes gas? Who has heard of the following?

The four Russian spetsnaz opened fire on the vehicle carrying six civilians on a quiet road in southern Chechnya. They killed the driver, then realised they had netted not a carload of "terrorists", but a couple of village teachers, a farmer, and a mother of seven children. To cover up their blunder, the Spetsnaz commandoes executed all five survivors, doused the vehicle in petrol and set it alight to pretend that it had hit a landmine. Never made the front page.

The Spetsnaz poisioning of the Shelkovsk school district, poisoning the school children on Chechnyan political leaders.

What's up with that? Not media worthy?

I know it's not even plausible, but think hypotheticly with me here for a sec. If everyone, enlisted, officers, reserves and gurad all went on strike...I don't know for what, say for highier pay or to have our troops pulled from Iraq......what would happen? They can't discharge the entire military. Or even if it was only one branch.

hmmm........
