Plenty of views, really, and none of them very pleasant.
First and foremost, my view is that there is no reason good enough that it satisfactorily justifies the gory slaughter of civilian populations by the tens of thousands.
In close second place, my view is that the excruciatingly obvious real reason for the war is that the wealthiest people in the world are using it to become wealthier, faster, than at any time in human history (millions of dollars per second... a virtually incomprehensible figure.)
Thirdly (and I'm only going to cover 4 views total) my view is that corporate profitability has arguably become the most powerful principle governing human activity on the planet. I say "arguably" because it may be that the current conflict is, in its most fundamental sense, an "argument" between that motivation and several other fundamental human motivations.
My fourth view on the war in Iraq (quite ironically) is that Bush is correct in at least one tragic sense: it ain't just a war in Iraq. It is a war in the world, and will not end until the above referenced argument is decided either by forces of arms or forces of nature.
My bet is on Nature.

It is a consensus now in American among the historians and military leadership both past and present that the Invasion of Iraq was a blunder of major proportion. Some call it the greatest strategic mistake in the history of the United States.
Of course you will find many individuals and experts that disagree and think the Iraq War was justified, but it was not justified and it was started for reasons that have never fully been explained.

as usual, the USA will declare that they are victorious, that they advanced once again and counters the rest of the world peace in the world. They will organize a large parade for its valorous and indestructibles soldiers.

and nobody any more will speak about the ****, death and the destruction which they will have caused in the area.

the American opinion will be never able to admit that its actions are sometimes harmful.

The removal of Saddam is one thing. I want some one to come up with a way to hand over their military to them, and FAST! I want our soldiers out of there. We took over now we need to hurry up and hand it over. I mean I know we have to make sure their gov. can defend itself, but I really want our men and women home! Our men and women are soldiers not 3rd world policemen.

What a clutter-fu'ck. Such a needless war with so many people dying just to make rich people richer. It's a shame...

And give Cincy the ten points. She nailed it right on the head with her last sentence.
