Just wondering.

If you were to hear on the news that we have 140,000 troops in Iraq , does that mean 140,000 individual men and women? Or does one troop have a certain amount assigned to each troop?

What do you think was the greatest fighting force of all time? Why?

I want an answer that is an actual group, not just something like "samurai" or "ninjas" or "knights." I want something like "The 47 Ronin" or "The 300 Spartans" or "Delta Force."

Also, NO FICTIONAL GROUPS.

I would like a helping hand on how to do report on The War in Iraq.
I'm a JROTC Cadat doing a 3-5min. report on it and need a structure for it. What positive points can I give my viewers and Americans to support the troops with my paragraphs on the main points and the mind-blowing opinions?

Please have a positive stand point on troops,Country, and have it on war point of view not a civilian point of view.

Was the Civil War fought in most states, or fewer? Certain states, mostly in the south, obviously saw the most battles. But how many states saw battles, and how many did not? By battles, I don't mean some horses were stolen, or a group sabotages or stole some war materiel, or was effected by the war, but some real conflict. Please do not answer "What's your point?," or "You answered your own question." Thanks in advance.

I wonder how many years it takes to advance to:

1. Second Lieutenant in the British Army (equivalent to First Lieutenant elsewhere in the world), and whether the individual gets to keep her rank if she enters 23rd SAS Regiment; and

2. Hauptmann in the German Army (that rank between Leutnant and Major), provided the individual has obtained a military academy degree.

Another related question, if someone enters the military and decides to take a degree, will those years at the academy be counted in the service? Thank you for answering! :)
