After you are married take your proof to your commanding officer or company clerk and they will show you what to do and assist you it is really simple just sign your name a couple of times then your wife can get your money and make sure you don't go out on her if deployed, you won't have any money to go out with

I don't know of any way for a spouse to use the GI bill. In CA they can get in state tuition even if you are from another state. Other than that the best bet is to apply for FASFA and scholarships. Oh, and Navy Marine Corp Relief has scholarships and grants and loans too.

I think they recently changed the rules to allow spouses to utilize your GI Bill.
I am not sure of the conditions or requirements, but you should see your unit Education Officer or S-1 to find out for sure.
If they cannot answer your questions, I would check the Education Center on your base for info.
I did see something on: http://education.military.com/money-for-school/gi-bill/additional-gi-bill-features
about spouses being able to use it, but I would ask someone in my chain of command.
Are you sure you want to let her use it?
You may regret it later.....

jim, ex maine off... I agree with that. But I would get a special power of attorney that would state that she could have access to the money only as long as she remains his wife, and would discontinue after either a separation (legal or temporary), or a divorce. I have had too many friends in the Marines and Army ruined by divorced wives or husbands and "separated spouses" who got access to military benefits that after not being with a servicemember, they dont deserve access to any more. There is a reason why they are called MILITARY BENEFITS.

Unless they've changed the rules recently, you are the only person who can use your GI bill benefits.
