Well, the Dem's (here), wouldn't have a lot to say about it if Israel did what it did to the hezzbollahs to Iran. And damn them if they did, hell, it was them who very well may have gotten this mess going in the first place long ago...making deals with potential terrorists, and bad guys...the Dem's are crafty. Its all there, the proofs in the pudding.
Later, it won't matter. Cause things are going for a spin on high and not gonna stop...a war of a new age is upon us.
As for 2007 prediction of a ww3, I say no...not a ww3 in a total destruction ww3- more like a series of smaller, bloody wars fought in various regions.
The problem is: not everyone is on-board and supporting the idea of a world free from terror and religion based conflicts, this enhances the danger because some of the countries like Russia, China...etc, dont care.
Religion started all this no matter how you flip it....religion will lead us to the end. Where is god now...on a permanent vacation?
For today, we sit and wait...not knowing how things will REALLY turn out-and we care. But tomorro, it may be that we find this problem is too much...

In order for a war of that magnitude to occur, we would need a clear superpower to deviate from international peace efforts.

Othwise all we have is a country or two trying to cause mischief.
Even if Iran Venuezuela could gather up countries for their cause, it would be incomparible to what u.s and its allies could muster up with or without the U.N.s support

so the answer is NO war

probably another conflict to out stretch the already overextended u.s military forces though

No more "World Wars" as in 1914 and 1939, but new "worldwide wars" on some activities and ideas and behaviors.
