After all the harsh criticism the Democrats leveled against President Bush over his handling of the war in Iraq, ironically, upon taking control of the House and Senate one would expect the Democrats to come out of the starting blocks a lot better than ice cold with frosty words of bringing back the military draft. Currently, there are more than enough people enlisting in the armed forces nationwide to sustain our military needs.

I’m 4'11" and 500lbs my life dream was to be an airborne infantryman the asshole recruiter said I was to fat I said THEN WHAT CAN I DO!! he says petition the dod for a new mos "building breaker" so I can just jump out of the plane destroy the building and not risk the life’s of fellow soldiers with fire or impact from a bomb. he says it would save lives.........I'M PISSED, ALL I WANT TO DO IS SERVE MY COUNTRY..... Now that we've seen what a horrible and stupid idea it was for the US to invade Iraq, the embarassment to the US, the massive loss of life and injuries on both sides, and the huge upswell in terrorism as a result, not to mention the BILLIONS that will take decades to repay, is it finally time for those americans who supported the war to apologize for not opposing it? Maybe we could have a grief fund where they can contribute extra money to the 4 billion per month we are currently paying to sustain the conflict. Is now the right time for them to apologize?

the world is becoming a more dangerous place to live in .. With global warming the UK will be one of the select places in the world with an adequate water supply.. China, India etc,, will need water and be forced to invade other coutries to get this water supply.. this is just one example.. another is do we really want nt to have nuclear weapons when dangerous countries like IRan have???

The 'war' in Iraq could spill over to strive in neighboring countries and could be the start of WWIII. But the war in Afganistan was justified for 9/11 and is not in danger of engulfing the world.

I believe the time has come for we the people to be heard and in writing, speaking, calling, whatever it takes for us to unite, and in doing so perhaps we could get our troops home a liitle sooner. It's time for our voices to be heard, and maybe in doing this, we could save more of our young men or women from being mamed or even worse killed.
