I believe the time has come for we the people to be heard and in writing, speaking, calling, whatever it takes for us to unite, and in doing so perhaps we could get our troops home a liitle sooner. It's time for our voices to be heard, and maybe in doing this, we could save more of our young men or women from being mamed or even worse killed.

The current administration has no interest in what the average American thinks, wants or needs. That was apparent from the beginning. But there were plenty of Americans who supported them (Bush and his cronies) then.... and even now.

In January the democrats will finally be able to have their voices heard. Do I think the Democrats have all of the answers? NO.....but at least they represent, in part a large portion of the American public that was opposed to this war in Iraq and was not brain washed by Bushes propaganda.

Pulling out would be the dumbest thing we can do. Think about it. We get into this unpopular war, take out saddam, then leave??? That would make things chaotic. Not only will we be embarassed as a nation, but we will be seen as "the people who start wars and leave it a mess" or Cut-and-Run. It would have devesting effects both on our national security aswell as foriegn policy.

Our troops should be there to protect thoese helpless innocent Iraqi's from terrorists and other militas within baghdad.

Bush dosn't want to admit there is a civil war going on simply because he does not want to seem like America caused the war because of his inferoior strategy. As a result, he would sink lower in the polls and history will not remeber in too kindly.

no...its past that point now...sorry to break it to you. If we leave Iraq undone, so-to-speak, then we will face some other wrath no doubt later. We have to get those Iraqi's trained some and turn them loose more and more, or it won't work. They have to find it within themselves to do this, and let us go home. We cant just walk out! Thats stupid! Look what happened before when we walked, we got Osama bin hiden pissed at us(he was once our friend in case you didnt know). But religion again, what a joke. Caused hard feelings again. mohammed and the live and die by the sword concept is insane! All of it is...cristianity too.
Go ahead, try to protest, try to get them to hear you, it wont happen. Our troops are stuck in the mud-why? Rules of engagement. Its hurting our ability to effectively inflict more damage because these rules of combat restrict them. So, let the Iraqi's learn to fight the insurgence...they wont have NATO standing there making sure they fight fair.
Iraq is fubar, I say in a few days- it'll come down to all or none...Israel will be crucial during this time. Will they/wont they?
Israel does talk tough, and has backed up words with action so, i dunno...

You can write whoever you want...vote in whoever you want in 2008, then write him too...we're not leaving for a long time. We can't. Look at how it is with us there. It would be 3 times as worse with us gone. My unit is there now, and most of them are KIDS. And they've been there two, three times already. Don't think they don't want to come home...but they'd rather be there than have to watch their kids go in 20 years b/c we left the job undone.

great lets leave iraq the way it is and then all hell will break loose, now i am all for bringing troops also, but there are plans in action to get the troops home, so if we pull out like right now, some major things that we are trying to prevent can happen and then we will be blamed for that too.

So you advocate leaving the Iraqi people to the mercy of the terrorists?

The Iraqi people have chosen democracy in three different elections - why should they not have the same freedoms as we have?

Can you imagine what will happen if we leave before the job is done? Believe me, voices have been heard, but sometimes it is better to think with one's head instead of one's heart.

you are soo correct I also believe that we can go the extra steps. Since war is dangerous to troops and we need to save them from this can we Save the police from harm as well and demand that they stay away from patroling dangerous places. How about our brave fire fighters! Fire is so dangerous so many are killed and injured each year let's make a law to keep them away from fires even though they are trained can we the people save them we need to. Presidents are so evil perhaps we can get a law to ban them from doing things we don't want done. Pleaze someone help us. Oh and Butchers often cut themselves we need a law to keep them from cutting meat so they will be safe too, God bless you for your beautiful heart.
