Americans voted Bush into office not just once but twice, therefore the conflict and civil war in Iraq is the fault of the American people.

I cannot believe the rascism of these answers, 'are you a Muslim?', what business is that of yours, but no I am not.
Iraq was a relatively stable country in relation to other middle eastern countries before America invaded, now over half a million Iraqis are dead and there is a civil war as a direct result of Americas involvement.

What a fricking 'tard. Iraq is Iraq fault, America is just trying to help put it together so they know what freedom is all about. Where does your monkey azz live? If it is not the States then I bet that your country was helped by the U.S. at one point too.

Actually, you may not be a Muslim (if that is the truth, since I have never met a muslim I trusted) but I think a burka or a turban would probably suit you at this point. If you remember your history correctly the US vote in 2000 elected Al Gore. The US was involved in Iraq before the second election and the country was nearly divided at 50% down the line on that vote anyway. Even with the election of John Kerry Iraqi's would still be running around cutting each others heads off, so technically nothing the American people could have done would have prevented this. If we would have left Saddam in power we probably would not have a civil war but we would have an oppressive totalitarian regime instead. Sure mistakes have been made by Bush and his people, you won't hear me argue that. I think before you come on this website you need to try and get a little more educated about what has brought all of this about before you go spouting more of your terrorist propaganda. Oh, and the Americans just had a vote and we voted for change in Iraq policy.

Yes it is our fault anyone had taken the time to see what happened to previous countries that invaded Iraq . You would have seen the modern results in the past. This part of the world operates under the strong man principle not the democracy principle. This will stay true until tribalism and religious fundamentalism are no longer relevant to the average Iraqi or Middle easterner.

and i cannot believe you ask this. So many are in denial about the gist of this war. The war in Iraq is, simply stated. SADDAM HUSSEIN'S FAULT. and the reason it is such a difficult one is first of all we don't have enough world support as we should, and the bad guys are fighting for their lives and because they think their only way to heaven is to kill us, to destabilize this new government. Get it through your heads everyone, we have 2 choices: we either win this war or we lose it. how about if we all get on board here and support the efforts. . we have o fight this war in every corner of the world. There are bad guys out there who want to take over the world and enforce their way on everyone, and the loss of freedoms would be the result of it.Does anyone here know what it is like to lose their freedom?? Ask the Iraqis who lived under Saddam's rule? Ask he Jews. etc.......I am just sick of people who politicize this fight. We (America) are traditionally he great liberators. We are doing that now. We are not imposing OUR way of life into their government. We are giving them their freedom to have their own govt. Yes, it has cost lives, but look at WW2 and in a very short time how many lives were lost for freedom.... 30-50 million people including genocide. In 5 years we have lost only 3000 in the Iraq/Afghanistan war. Watch the show called "exposed" on the Glenn Beck show on Headline CNN news or "obsession" on FOX about radical Islam...maybe that will help you wake up...or go to hte movie "Obsession when it comes out.

I agree with the third answer; anyone who would classify pre-war Iraq as a stable place to live obviously never lived there. Of course I have not either, but I have read the auto-biographies of a lot of people (some were even part of Saddam's government) that would strongly disagree that it was "stable". Do you even know of any other dictator (or any type of ruler for that matter) who has ever been brought up on charges like the ones Hussein has? Hitler or Trujillo maybe... The fact is, he needed to be overthrown, but we did not take into account that these people have never had to develop their own government before. They have always been ruled. They don't have the mindset to put together their own country; that doesn't make us at fault for the different feuds going on between different groups. But there definately should have been a better plan for putting the country back together; one that THEY should have come up with. And anyone who thinks you can CHEAT your way into the WHITE HOUSE is f*cking retarded. Cheat your way into the presidency? We've only been doing this 200 years or so...and BUSH was the only one to figure out how to CHEAT...lmfao...

It was americas fault, through and through. If they only waited to get revenge in a legal way.... that is what it is about, revenge for 9/11. Obviously if 9/11 never happened neither would this war- THATS NOT A GOOD ARGUMENT FOR THE WAR! all the iraqi's blood that has been spilt has gone to repairing americas ego!
An election doesnt work in a way that "more than half have to vote for precedent"- go read up about seats of power.....
A good country takes responsibilty for what thier people have done!

This war belongs to Mr Bush and his Neocon advisors.
As an American, neither this administration or this war is my responsibility. I do not support either of them. Our government was siezed in a right wing coup in 2000 and the thugs that enabled Bush to become president are not accountable to the American people. In short this is not my war; Bush is not my president and until we have a president that respects the Constitution my position won't change. Its like blaming the Germans for Hitler.

I never voted for Bush either time. If you want to use that ideology fine, However remember Bush did not win by a land slide. He barely won. He didn't even win by popular vote. He won be electoral vote.
So NO it's not my fault.
