Cat V is not good. Jobs like supply, truck driver and the like. You will receive no bonus money for enlisting. You can not "fail" the ASVAB, but your score weighs heavily as to the type of job you will get. If you do poorly, you can retest. Not certain of the waiting period. My suggestion would be to study before you take the test. Word comprehension and simple math will be the down fall of many on the test. Go to the library and check to see if they have a book that will help.

Good luck!

Don't liten to that Jackass USMC, But don't worry about the test unless you signed up for something that requires a high asvab. Anyway the test is kind of common sense. If you graduated High School you will definately make a great score. Now, if you score low, you will be considered and infantryman. So it is no pass or fail, its all about your score. You may ask how I know, I am in the Army and have been for the last 3 years. I am currently overseas, so take advice from an army personell not no jarhead.

Don't worry about the test, the army will find some job for you. But you definitely gotta lose some weight.

If you scored as a Cat V on the ASVAB they you are not considered to be qualified for military service.

You don't have to wait two years . If you fail your recruiter should be able to tell you when you can test again . I suggest running and sit- ups to lose weight . Army pride, army strong .
