Breastfed must still be breastfeeding.

What do you want out of your military experience?

I was in the Marines for 11 years and I loved it.

Each branch has it's pros and cons, so it is up to you to decide what you want to be. I would see what MOS's interest you the most, and then go from there.

Not all branches offer the same opportunities as far as particular jobs you may be interested in, and the same goes for duty stations.

Of course I would say Marine Corps since I was in, but you may be looking for somethng else. Either way, your willingness to serve has my respect.
I wish you well, no matter which branch you choose.

Like some others have said, it depends on what you want.

Some observations of mine -
- more likely these days to be in combat if in Army, Guard, or Marines, but somewhat less BS in active Army than some other branches
- on average, Navy has better schools (need to maintain that stuff out at sea)
- Coast Guard you pretty much get to do your job every day and you can see a real payoff in that
- Air Force has better quality of life but slower advancement (less turnover)

Look at what you want out of your service. See what schools/jobs you can get guaranteed. Check what kind of enlistment bonuses there are for different services and jobs. Consider both enlisted and officer career paths - look at ROTC and OCS.

I'm ex-Navy. My son's ultimate choice, if he decided to go in was going to be Coast Guard, but he changed his mind about signing up at all. I had mostly a good time in the Navy and got a great start in life, I think it can be a good choice for a lot of people.

Don't believe anything that's not in writing. Don't sign anything until you know all the consequences. Don't let recruiters pressure, bully, or BS you, make sure you know what you're doing.

I joined the Coast Guard. We do our job that we trained for. Everyday we go out in the feild. We have 5 different missions in the Coast Guard to keep us busy. I also like being a smaller branch. Your not just a number.

Anyone is would be a better choice than the army. I am a veteran and saw with my own eyes soliders getting sexually harrassed and the command not wanting to do anything about it. MY husband is currently in Iraq and i have received no support whatsoever from his unit, nobody cares in the army. Of course things vary from unit to unit and station to station. In our experience when serious problems come up with us and others, nobody wants to help nobody cares. There is no such thing as teamwork or community.
i have heard the marines have it together a lot more. You might want to check with them. When i spoke to a marine about our experiences he said that does not happen in the marines.
Good luck with your search, hopefully you will cross the army off your list.

Depends on how fat and stupid you are. The National Guard and Army will both take just about anybody. Navy is a step up and fairly easy to get into, but some Navy jobs require excellent physique and intelligence. Marines and Air Force are generally harder to enter. And you can't be too big if you want to pilot a fighter jet. The Coast Guard is the hardest overall because of the stricter requirements as well as the lower demand for recruits.

You should chose for yourself. My son is a Captain & Army Ranger. He loves the Army. Hooay!!
The Army average education is higher than the general public.
Commissioned Officers must be college educated but a large percentage of enlisted men are college educated. The only uneducated are those who answer without knowing the facts.

It is all up to what branch has the best to offer to you. The branches do have a weight restriction, don't listen to that other immature person, believe it or not the army has a very strict weight to height ratio. Go talk to recruiters and see what they have to offer you.

Navy or Coast Guard. You don't want to waste years of your life in some armpit in Iraq, trust me on this. I don't know a single returning soldier who was eager to back to Iraq, which you definitely will be going to multiple times if you join either the Army or Marine Corps.

Well which do you prefer.....land, air or the sea. Once you figure that out, then look into the branch that specializes in it. Go see the recruiters in each branch.
