He has no idea what he's talking about in respect to the War in Afghanistan! He complains about the equipment costs of sending tanks to help our Canadian troops in the very dangerous country of Afghanistan, I am so pi$$ed of that he keeps up this stand against all that the Canadian military is doing for the very thankful people of Afghanistan, why can't we rise above the costs to our country to be thankful & happy for what we are doing for these people?!

Currently, to maintain troop strength in Iraq, our military has a
"stop loss" program in place where military having served can
be forced to continue to serve beyond their original term.

How long should we continue this policy?

How do you feel about people who protest the war in Iraq. Are they right or wrong? Both? And why?

Instead of using TA and Top-Up I am considering trying to use TA and at the same time receive full monthly GI Bill. I want to do this first off because I only need an extra 400 dollars for what TA doesnt cover. Top-Up dips into my GI Bill and gives me the amount I need but the rest of my full month amount I would lose. So I would like to use TA and GI Bill so I can atleast pocket the remaining 600 bux or so. Is this possible? If so how do I go about this?

To maintain troop strength in the Iraq and continue with reasonable
military readiness in the US and in other interests around the world,
we'll need to have a draft in the next two years.

So: Either we adopt a draft, or we at least somewhat
reduce our operations in Iraq.

What is the morally correct action here?

Military you are Americans First. You defend America for your familys
and the regular americans as Bush calls those that keep there mouth shut and go with the program to allow the total theft of the US government by the military industrial complex and big oil. Yes! you might get a good pay check now. But this will be at the total expense of Liberty for you and your children. You are now totally owned by Bush and company. Those of you who are tracking,
stalking and murdering Americans because they have spoke out
againist this tyrant. What? will you do when all is revealed.

Would you go to prison?
How would you face your friends when you came out?

Does anyone know what the penalty is if you refused?

I'm asking this question again because I didn't get the answer I was looking for the first time. I am a woman looking to join a law enforcement agency in the future...probably a local or state police department. I will be graduating college in a few years with a Bachelor's Degree in Law/Goverment, and I want to join the military to both gain experience and help pay back student loans. The last time people were accusing me of being "money hungry" cuz i wanted assistance with my school loans...but most enlisted soldiers have joinined because of the educational benefits...there's nothing wrong with a little compensation for your sacrifice. But more importantly,I want to gain experience in the military...defense tactics, technical skills etc. I know that there are police academies but I want more elite training. I am fully aware of the challenges I may face in each of the branches, and I'm not afraid to die for a just cause...but I want to join the branch thats the best for me...

One of my old friends recently enlisted in the Air Force. But when I ask him what his job was going to be I cant remember what the technical term he used for it was but he said it was pretty much Infantry. I was unaware the Air Force had anything to do with Infantry. Is he full of crap?

I could not go to Hawaii with my husband because I have children here with my ex-husband. I desire somekind of support system for wives that cannot go with thier husbands....He just got back from Iraq in Feb and now is in Hawaii for 36 months and my friends do not understand what I, as well as several other military wives go through. Books do not cut it and I'm sick of hearing "you knew this would happen" from naysayers. So..is there a support system out there that is reputable?

Would they shoot you? Or simply arrest you? Curious, I've been reading up on them and you just know someone's done it.
