The problem is american dont want to loose anything. When people relize that were not at war with iraq, we are occupying iraq. Only then will they allow us to withdraw from a failed OCCUPATION.. We won the war and over the throwing of Saddam, but we are failing at the occupation.. If you look at it this way, YES, we should leave the occupation and still be winners of the war.. As for finishing the job?? what the heck is the job? It was to over throw Sammad, thats finished, It was to disarm Saddam, That was not needed. It was to avenge 911, iraq had nothing to do with 911.. Finish what?? Lets Stop our brave soldiers from being used for target practice now! They deserve better!!!

There is no finishing a war that is against terrorists because there will always be some kinda of terrorist, Al-Qaida or otherwise. We may be able to get the Middle East conflicts to a minimum but we will probably never completely pullout. It will be like Vietnam and Korea and such, where we still have some troops stationed to this day.

I do think we need to give the people of Iraq back their country. I think we laid the ground work for them, and now it's time for them to stand up and decide how they want to run their county-I do believe that countries should help on another but at some point it's time for the people to decide what they want out of their country and what they want to do for their country.. so I think we should start withdrawing and give Iraq a chance to start planning for their future

A few wel placed "nukes" set off by CIA then blamed on "insurgents" across Iraq would end the game pretty quick.
If the liberals weren't crying about Iraqi civilian casualties, the military could have decimated the country and America would have ended the war with 0 deaths and 0 injuries.

I was there, I serve in the army and the press makes things out to be so much worse than what it really is and it is aggravating because people here think you are doing wrong to them, honestly we should stay until they feel comfortable and use their democracy to vote us out, because leaving too early will have dire consequences many people over there will feel betrayed because we did not live up to our promise when we went in which was to leave a fully self sufficient Iraq that can defend and take care of itself.

Pulling out now would disgrace the men and women that are over there fighting. Pulling out now would be telling those that have been mangled in this war that they have suffered for nothing. It would tell the families of those lost that they have suffered the death of their child or loved one for no reason at all. It would make the sacrifices we in the Armed Services have made, in vane.
We should stay. We should honor our end of the deal. And somehow out of all of this we should make our commitment worth while.

I don't care whether folks believe we should not have gone in the first place or not. Fact is, we need to stay and finish the job, or there will be far MORE death and destruction in the long-run.

that so called war most likely will never end. those people want nothing but violence and control, but the terrorists are so full of hate it makes them stupid. it won't change. so why have our young men killed for something that is so crazy. pull out and quit throwing our men into pure stupidity just to get killed.
