I suggest you concentrate on School and get an Education before worrying about getting stuck in Iraq.

psssst...it is: What if I don't do WELL in school, could I get stuck in Iraq?

that remark that Kerry made was stupid...as a military wife and navy veteran, i was horribly offended...i think he was talking out of his a**....

its not like there is a law set up by the government that if you are bad at school or graduate with a 1.9 GPA, that they will send you to Iraq....i was horrible in school, had a 1.9 GPA and i joined the service...i wasnt sent to war...now that i have grown up a bit and i am in college, i have a 3.2 GPA so what does that mean, i would love to hear what Kerry has to say about that...

going to war is not a punishment, although some people think it is...everyone knows that when you sign up for service, there is a chance that you could go to war...

Wondered how long before someone asked this question. Reading the other answers makes you wonder if anyone reads a newspaper or watches the evening news these days.

No, to answer the question (w/o correcting grammar), if you do poorly in school you will probably end up on a reality show on MTV!

I'm not understanding the question because you didn't really detail it? Just because you don't go to school doesn't mean you're gonna end up in Iraq unless you're in the army maybe? And alot of them still don't go over there. If you're talking about gettin drafting, they haven't even started a draft so you don't have anything to worry about if you're talking about that. Just because you are in school and you are in the army doesn't mean u can't go to Iraq either. I know of people that thy have pulled out of school just to go over there. It really just depends. No one can say for sure.

You can if you can't read well. Like if you go to an airport and have no idea what flight you are trying to take and end up there. The military won't take you due to the fact you can't read orders or comprehend what's going on. You might end up in the streets if you continue not to learn. Good luck and GOD bless.

No. The military is full of men and women who worked hard and achieved good grades. There may be a few uneducated people (like Kerry) who ended up in the military--not many though.

p.s. good luck in school. lol

If you join the military....Unfortunately the US does not require military service out of it's citizens. So, you could end up in a dead end job living off welfare checks and food stamps with the rest of us paying for your right to be lazy.

HA, if you dont do good in school, I doubt you'll be able to take the asvab very well or take the test they give you at the recruiting office with a good score.

So what do you think is worse...

A botched joke...

Or botched planning for a war that has killed thousands,

Before youanswerer that just remember that prior to the war Bush told Pat Robertson that there would be NO US CASUALTIES in Iraq. Now does Bush sound like he got his planning spot on.
