Are the bombs great enough to destroy the US? Does the US have forms of defense? Just curious after hearing all this about North Korea. Thanks in advance. =)

In over 3 years of US fighting in Iraq & Afganhistan there are as many terrorists in those countries as before 9/11. The US military has allowed a pychopath leader in N. Korea to obtain nuclear weapons that can easily be given to Al Qaeda and Iran, part of the axis of evil, will soon have nuclear weapons. What the heck our we paying these guys to do other than get shot at?

The U.S. army will spend $1 Billion in five years for that change beginning in November, they say they had a disappointing recruiting year.

My husband came home from work and his commander wants to see me in his office today. There is a ball coming up and I can't go because I have 2 kids, an 8 year old and a 5 month old who has never been left with any one else and is only breastfed. I also cant see spending $100.00 on a dress I will only wear that night (its a formal event). His commander is insisting my husband and I go, or there will be reprocutions. What should I go in and say other than the obvious? Should I go so he don't make my husbands life hell?

If China agrees to support the US and Japan in strick santions on North Korea, and agrees to fully support the US in the war on terror to the point of commiting troops, are they going to ask us to stand aside while they take Taiwan as a payback for their help for us?

Since it was so effective to invade Afghanistan and Iraq in response to Saudi Arabias Sept 11th attacks, maybe we should try the same strategy again and try to draw all the rogue elements of the region into a controlled zone. Plus, I hear that Indonesia has oil.

I look at my paycheck and I think "what a hell?!" they tax like crazy and all this they say they spend to improve our lives.... but in what way it's improving? It's harder to get a job... It's harder to live.... They cut the corners everywhere... but not the taxes... I look at the map and I see Iraq.... that's where may this bloody money go... Do you think the same?

I understand that some retirees are ordered to give their wives a chunk of their military pension. Is there some minimum federal standard? Does this have to be declared by a federal judge? Can a state judge make the decision? Is there a standard amount? Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me with sources.

Don't you think that? NEVER.... except British at the time of the Revolution. Well, we fought Nazi just when it was obvious Nazi is to fail to Red Army.... We never won WWII. Soviets did it, we just help them a bit! We fought peasants in Vietnam and.... we lose! We fought in Korea and we lose again! Commies are still there....We fought in 1812 and we lose that war to Britain. Oh, Japan... It signed capitulation only after Stalin unleashed his troops... So we lose even that to Commies! War in the Gulf? Yeah, we somewhat won... but is it our land? War in Afghanistan we lose again since it nothing changed there. Serbia and Bosnia.... how nice it is to bomb someone from the distance making the deal with the Russians so that they don't send Serbs rockets to fight us... so yeah, we won that ....."attack on them"....and at last Iraq..... How long we were going to stay there? a year? Overall, why did we attack it? So we are losing there again..... We won somewhere of course

Anyone else see the stark reality of our actions as Americans towards sanctioning North Korea. If you'll remember we did something very similar to Japan in the months before they attacked pearl harbor. this will be the next world war and if you think North Korea is a joke, all you have to do s look back in time 60 years to how weak we thought the Japs were. What are your thoughts, is this WWIII

The news doesn't say how many die each week over there, why not? I think people have a right to know how many Iraqi civilians and how many US soldiers have died.

I think we should! It's not fair that us normal people have to fight for our country, and serve everything to them on a silver platter! This is AMERICA, EVERYONE IS EQUAL!

Okay I have just got to get this off my chest. The idea of imploding Korea with direct involvment from the US will not work politically. What needs to happen is Japan and South Korea should be the ones to cut off shipping to NoKo. The US needs to take a public stance that they wont get involved save for weapons and funds for this effort. Then they need to deploy thermonuclear subs to patrol the area of the sea of japan between korea and japan up to the southern border of russia. When the government there collapses they need to strike against targets like oil refineries electrical plants and water storage facilities. It might be a good idea to send some seal teams with the subs to recon the area sabotage threats and to report back on any weapons technology that was developed. The idea here is that the United States cannot be openly involved in the collapse of any nations at this time. One is plenty.
