Look at Vietnam. After a 10 year thumping we had enough and cut and ran on april 30th 1975. Any idea when we will leave Iraq?

I actually think we could be out in a year or so - AFTER Iraq is partioned into Sunni, Shi'ite & Kurdish regions, like it should have been 3 years ago, before tens of thousands of Iraqi's died in sectarian violence.

I'll answer you in private friend. But here are the Vietnam "facts", not simple dates or other trite phrases you like to use. In 1972 there wer 300 US KIA in Vietnam, in 1973 all US troops left. The April 30, 1975 date you refer to is when South Vietnam surrendered. As for the thumping, even though we had losers like you there we didn't lose any battles. Name one battle we lost? US politicians, liberal media, and an uniformed public caused us to leave Vietnam. When will it happen again in Iraq, when cowadly liberals who hate our country are in contol again.

Ain't gonna happen, douche bag!

Did your nephew kick your sorry @ss, yet? We are all waiting for that to happen, since we aren't able to do it personally.

To correct your sorry analysis of the Vietnam war, the Americans began turning the war over to RAVN in 1970. They had five years to prepare, instead they capitulated.

Iraq is an entirely different matter. As long as people like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Il and Hugo Ducky Chavez are allowed to govern, you will not see the US back down, no matter who occupies the White House!

We will likely leave Iraq either when the situation is stabilized and Iraq appears to be able to deal with its own problems, or when the terrorists flood the country to the point that the situation becomes totally and obviously hopeless, or as soon as the Democrates have their chance to demonstrate their lack of competence at the helm.

You need to take into the consequences of pulling out of Iraq. (ie; the collapse and basic take over by terrorists of Iraq) Is it worth pulling out? IMO no, you went in and regardless of whether it was right to do so, so need to fix the mess we as the coalition of the willing created.

Silly Republican rhetoric. We're losing the war, but admitting that we're losing and changing our strategy is somehow supposed to be worse than stubbornly staying and continuing to lose. And all this while our REAL enemies continue to grow stronger and we're powerless to stop them because we're stretched too thin in Iraq where we don't belong. All thanks to George.

The words "cut and run" are nothing but Karl Rove propaganda. Outside of rightwing talk radio, they don't mean anything.

We are staying only to keep Republicans from losing votes in next month's elections. Expect to see some kind of 'redeployment' in a few months. The Bush administration does not care how many Iraqis or American soldiers die. It's just politics.

As long as the Bush administration is not personally affected. When they begin to personally lose something because of this conflict, then the policy will change. Sad, isn't it?
