Anyone else see the stark reality of our actions as Americans towards sanctioning North Korea. If you'll remember we did something very similar to Japan in the months before they attacked pearl harbor. this will be the next world war and if you think North Korea is a joke, all you have to do s look back in time 60 years to how weak we thought the Japs were. What are your thoughts, is this WWIII

Check a history book? lol, I guess this partially finished History degree isn't enough for me to be able to understand our history of this great nation. If you think for a second we thought the japs were able to withstand a 4 year war...you're wrong.

It may be so.... all crap about Americans vs N.Koreans does not apply here... if they have a nuke... it may be a single nuke that may destroy completely a state like Texas or California.... and then there will be no life overthere for centuries..... Only one nuke may cause unimaginable things.... BUT those, I'm sorry, ignorant people keep comparing..... It takes just a single nuke and .... it is WWIII....

Well, I'd say put down the history book and pick up a map. N.Korea has a huge army, a small completely outdated air force and almost no navy. With no transportation where are they going to march too. China? Ouch big trouble, China would wipe them off the map. S Korea? Okay even if the did take all of S Korea when then? Its a peninsula... they going to swim to Japan and attack. Russia? They might get a foothold into Russia but who would want it? Hey barely have enough food to feed their people in peace. They could never withstand a war time situation without outside help. Sanctions should be very effective against a country that can't get by on its own. Their only bet would be to nuke someone. Get creamed, and then hope whoever creamed them would have mercy and remodel their entire infrastructure. Must like the US did in Japan and the Allieds did in Germany. OR they could start selling nukes to anyone who would buy them and therein lies the biggest threat from N Korea... not WW III but a desperate country selling nukes to anyone willing to pay for them.

The Japanese had invaded China a year before the sanctions, I'd hardly call the Japanese weak, and the only reason we sanctioned Japan was because we knew they had the biggest military force in the Pacific and wanted to slow them down. After the battle of Midway, they couldn't find enough iron ore to make steel to replace the four carriers they lost, so the sanctions did have some effect. North Korea ain't no Japan, they have South Korea, Japan, China and Russia all p*ssed at them now, there will be no WWIII with the mighty North Koreans fighting to take over the world. Do you really think China is just going to sit there? North Korea doesn't even have an airforce or tanks that work because Russia won't sell them parts. China could knock them off in a day. Russia could do it with one of their nuclear submarines in 10 minutes.

1.) Check a history book. We knew the Japs were strong.

2.) N. Korea is weak compared to the United States. They have no more than 1/5 our entire population, if we actually wanted to, we could completely decimate their infrastructure in less than 2 weeks.

3.)It isn't WW3 because in order for that to happen Russia and China would have to get involved, and China is even against their "ally" here and have stated that they will not retailiate or defend N. Korea for these recent actions.

LOL, you're dumb. The North Koreans pose no threat through military might. And they cannot start WW3. The only thing that keeps them around is the protection of China, who is definately starting to turn their back on them as well, I mean, the Chinese are pissed about this test. So dont be so alarmist, instead, be happy that the end of the evil North Korean regime might actually be in sight, and that the millions of starving oppressed citizens there might actually someday have a chance at a decent life, like their South Korean bretheren.

sign me up -- al e cat, you're in basic terms undeniable incorrect approximately that. a 0.33 international conflict is amazingly plenty achieveable. Who ever could have concept that Germany could have come out of an financial fall down like they did after the 1st international conflict, and be waiting to triumph over maximum of Europe in easy terms a pair a protracted time later? properly, it got here approximately as quickly as, and it ought to truly take place back.
