in my mind is "unwinnable", so over the past several months I've decided for sure that I am against the war.

Since Bush has said, "you're either for us or against us".

So I guess that I'm against "us", (because in spite of all the rhetoric to the contrary, what have we accomplished, if we leave, as we did in Viet Nam, and Iraq decides against democracy?)

We can't cram democracy down their throats, during a civil war.

His leaving no other alternative leaves many, tired of the conflict, to have similar opinions I'm sure.

It's an untenable situation. What do you think?

People are throwing it around as a fact, but I've been unable to find any form of coroboration. If somebody made it up as peice of anti-war propaganda it's doing one heck of a job. Can anyone provide a verifiable source, preferably more than one?

North Korea is more dangerous than Iraq ever was. Supporters of Iraq say they attacked Iraq to keep them from making WMD. Well, Korea did it so why aren't attacking them?

As I write, the U.S. Navy's Second Fleet has dispatched the aircraft carrier Eisenhower, attended by a strike group of subordinate ships, from its Norfolk home to the Persian Gulf, where it is due to arrive on Oct. 21. The strike group will link up with other pre-positioned military assets, and could easily start a war with Iran, making it part of the ultimate October Surprise.

Iraq has no bearing on my life. None! So, those military men and women who have died in Iraq have died for nothing. Remember, Iraq did not do 9-11 and has no WMD.

In WWII or Vietnam, the death of a couple of hundred of soldiers in a battle was not considered a major casualty. Usually the reaction is "Damn, that's bad news." Now the death of 2 or 3 soldiers gets nationwide attention.

Why has the value of human life gone up so significantly?
