Also from what youve seen how smooth do things go in the prisons we staff?

Is it easy to enlist as a MP or prison guard?

Most depictions I see show them clean shaven, but I never thought twice of it.
Now, I'm seeing things that make me wonder if shaving is mandatory (or beards and moustaches forbidden). Is that so, is there a reason why?

I wonder because the French military has a facial hair tradition, there even used to be a time when only noblemen and soldiers could avoid the razor.

I just heard that analyses seem to confirm that the famous Korean bomb test is likely a nuclear explosion. But it also seems likely that the bomb's yield was less than a kiloton.

This is about 15 times less than Little Boy... and I don't know what the yield of the Trinity test was. Is it possible for a true Nuclear device to yield so little? I assume that there would be a minimum possible yield, due to the minimum amount of fissile material that must be present to achieve critical mass and a true nuclear explosion.

If such a small device is possible, how so? Even tactical nukes develop around 20 KT, and I assume they are made as small as possible, so why should a true nuclear device develop so little?

I'm having my flight physical done in a couple of weeks at a U.S. Air Force base. Will I be required to shave my beard just for the physical? (of course, I realize that I'll have to shave it before I actually ship out for BOT, but I wanted to keep it until then, because I'm superstitious...yes I know it sounds weird). Thanks.

If you ask a man to lay down his life then there better be a good cause. They cause in Irag was a phony cause that was planned
years ahead. Not for Bin-Laden but for control of oil. Now let me
ask you 70% of american people beleive Bush is a Liar. Now how
would you like your family member to have died for a lie. Do not
be mad at me. Be mad at a government that no one trusts.

It seems to me that military people fighting for "Freedom" who I respect very much because my father fought on Omahu beach after his LST was sunk bringing in the troops during D-Day.
The people in the military seem to me to fight for Freedom and then when someone uses this freedom of speech and it is not what goes with you thoughts, then we american who disagree are the "terrorist". This is Bush thought and Bushlaw.
Beleive me Bush does not care about you. See if he has gone to
one service man funeral. Its always been about Oil even in
Afghanistan where the new pipeline was finished last month to
run oil from former soviet republics. Folks learn.

My husband went AWOL about 3 weeks ago. He plans to turn himself in in a week so its under 30 days so its not considered desertion? He's only been in the army since April so he hasnt been in 180 days and he hasnt finished basic. After being in basic training for about a month or so he cracked a bone in his foot and learned he had a blood clot in his back so hes been in Physical rehab a big percentage of the time. Hes done some research and it looks like if he goes back he will just get a general discharge because he hasnt been in 180 days but I was wondering if anyone can confirm what will really happen to him. The best, worst and most likely outcome. Any information is appreciated and if you want more information please IM me aj_55_zen and yes people, I know this is a bad situation and stupid on his part and mine for allowing it so I'm not looking to see any neg. comments about how horrible we are. I just need information. I need to know whats going to happen to our family.

Overt harassment and psychological warfare being conducted against american citizens in Jacksonville, Florida. Ionized pulsed
radiation being used againist citizens. Space weapons now in control evil blacks ops using them againist citizens. Is this America. Or a country where rationalization has taken over and people use the benefit to society out weighs the rights of the people. It sounds like tyranny to me. Where the evil can always
justify there illegal deeds.

The policy of containment was working. The evidence that they had WMD was flimsy at best. There was never a connection between 9/11 and Saddam. So, why are we there? A lot of people are dying as a result. How can we justify that?

BAGHDAD, Oct. 15 — Two marines were killed by insurgents in Anbar Province on Sunday, the American military command said, and three American soldiers died a day earlier in a bombing in southern Baghdad, bringing the total of American troop deaths in Iraq this month to at least 53, an extraordinarily high midmonth tally.
At the current rate of American troop deaths, almost four a day, October is on track to be the third-deadliest month of the entire conflict for the military, according to Iraq Coalition Casualty Count, an independent Web site that tracks war-related casualties. The two most deadly months coincided with major American offensives against entrenched guerrilla fighters.
