Da! Most Americans Know we are in "The war on TERROR" not "the war on Iraq" Iran and Syria are the bad guys. Now we have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan . Look at a map. We are close enough to make those guys concerned.
Saddam Hussein was supporting terrorists he was allowing them to train in Iraq, he was giving money to families of suicide bombers, he was a terrorist himself ordering the Curds to be gassed, men women children. Oh ya there was that quickly forgotten matter of the 17 resolutions at the all mighty UN that was approved and required action if Saddam did not disclose his wmds.

They believe it because people believe whatever CNN tells them and CNN tells them what the Government wants them to tell. It was all a big distraction so Bush could finish what his daddy started , the control of the middle east and there unlimited sources of oil. So 9/11 was Bush's chance to seek the approval of the people to go to the middle east and get the bad guys but all along having a different agenda.

Most people understand that Saddam Hussein was not behind 9/11. He did sponsor terrorism though and paid the families of suicide bombers up to $20,000. The fear was that he might take advantage of the situation to really give us some trouble since it was suspected by intelligence agencies world wide that he had the materials to build WMD's. Many government officials from all over the world feared that he may sell them to terrorists wanting to harm the USA. That is why people are so worried about North Korea now. Not because North Korea would start a war themselves but they could provide our enemies with weapons. So you see it is not as simple as you put it.

Mostly likely the terrorists were motivated by the heinous foreign policy the US has followed in the Middle East in general.
Thus, 9/11 and Iraq are connected.

i really haven't thought about it until your question is a really good one, i think it's because they really didn't but they figured it was a good way to start a war in iraq which again honestly is because of the oil, they felt that was a good excuse to start a war, but there many more countries who are anti american and i think they should investigate all of them

You can't deny that they are. If not for 9/11 we would not have invaded Iraq as early.

Why do liberals think that the war on terror is the war on 9/11?
The purpose of the war on terror was to protect the USA from all terrorists.
Since US liberals have undermined the war so that they can gain some political power the war on terro has stopped.
