By now it is pretty obvious that Osama bin Laden is not in Afghanistan but in Pakistan. Pakistan has expressed its intention to not pursue bin Laden but rather to provide him a safe haven. Why is Pakistan getting a free ride? We know that they have weapons of mass destruction which was enough of a reason to invade Iraq even though it was untrue. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! I know that the CIA, Special Forces, and Rangers have been in Pakistan secretly because its common sense AND a little bird told me. Remember how we weren't supposed to be in Laos and Cambodia during Vietnam? Bush is on TV at this moment saying that 9/11 was planned from a "safe haven" and that these nations, like Pakistan, are as culpable as the terrorists. So what is the problem? Anyone?

Bush lobbied to legalized torture now admits to secret prison conpiracies. American accept this barbarism as a normal thing, because other nation s have also tortured. This does not make sens , should a country allow genocide because Hitler genocided Jews?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060907/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush

Something is seriously wrong with this preventive war ideology, it is rising straight from Hitler history,, whom occupied countries ,whom was also at the pursuit of pseudo "terrorists".

People whom legalized torture should be regarded as a source of great evil. People should not be allowed to commit murder because
murders happen in ther nations, the logic is deficient. The US sponsored created Al-Quiada and Taliban. It created the extremists, American should bare responsiblity for 9/11. Also there is always the remote possibility that subversive elements may have helped with the Al-Quaida 9/11 conspiracy. Note Bin Laden denied being responsible for 9/11 ..

First, do not consider your answer as a vote for or against President Bush.
Second, do not consider your answer as a vote for or against the war.
Answer if he is the right man for the job. Do you think someone else could do it better? Do you think he has done an effective job? Explain.
Remember, just because you like or hate Bush does not mean that you have to like or hate Rumsfeld.

Now that I'm out, and can't be "smoked" for asking this question. Why in the hell all the abuse in the Army? I mean I can understand P.T and training, and mental discipline, but I went through the last so called "Hardcore" bootcamp in '99 and only 30 made it past basic training out of 60 guys. It just seamed alot of that crap was uneccesary. I remember this guy that joined our unit, and he was small and they fuked with him majorly, I can't figure out why. They tortured him so much, that he lost control of his facial movements, and had slurred speach. They also made him carry 175lbs. on his back when he only weighed 130. Is it because on the outside you would get your asses kicked real bad, that in the military because you have rank and troops to back you up, you take it out on who you want? It was like never ending. It didn't make me tougher one bit. If anything I was more broken down after my 5 years than when I signed up. Wouldn't you want everyone to be in super shape?

I hear that on saturday that most television stations are going to be viewing programmes relating to the events on 9/11. When will America & the rest of the World realise that what happened on 9/11 just happened & get over it. I think the Americans invasion of Iraq was alot worse that 9/11. I dont hate America or anything I just wish they would shut up about it. They have terrorised the poorer countries of the world for years & when one event happens to them they cant handle it. There is no war on terror & whatever problems they have with the muslims the fact is in the end the muslims are going to win. Hope they remember the following: You give flak, you get it back.

Non-veterans can answer also, but be nice. This is going to sound mean, but hear me out please.
It seems that many veterans of recent wars Vietnam, Korea and later, have psychological problems after war. Gulf-war syndrome, PTS etc, are common. Why is it the wars before that such as WW2 and WW1, the veterans don't seem to have this problem? Do they just not talk about it? Did the psychiatric field advance that much? Most seem proud to have killed Nazi's and the like. I know in more recent wars, many of the fighting was against civilians also, does this cause the mental trauma?
Thoughts and opinions if this made sense, and be nice please.
