Napalm is gasoline that is mixed with a gelling agent. Originally they used latex, but rubber became scarce, so a team of scientists created a substitute for latex. The Merck Index (1989) describes the mixture as "a coprecipitated aluminum soap from naphthenic acids and the fatty acids of coconut oil developed early in 1942 for the preparation of gasoline for incendiary munitions."
Today napalm comes as a powder which you mix with gasoline. When it comes out of the flame thrower the napalm sticks to the target (primarily vegetation) and burns a long time. It also produces about 20% carbon dioxide which is fatal to people who have shielded themselves from the napalm itself, but die of asphyxiation.

Nepalm is basically gellied gasoline. Very similer to greek fire of the ancients actually. When detonated it showers out in chunks sticking to whatever the chunks hit then burns fiercely. As it carries it's own oxygen and fuel it burns quite fiercely and putting it out is very difficult. It is primarily designed to destroy flamable structures but can be extremely nasty when used against humans.

Got a German shepard but I am way too young to have served in Nam :) If there are dogs still alive that were in Nam they would be in Guinness book of records. Shepards do not live that long. 10-15 years is very old for a Shepard.

According to The Condensed Chemical Dictionary napalm is the aluminum soap of a
mixture of oleic, naphthenic and coconut fatty acids. It is a granular powder
which, when mixed with gasoline, forms a sticky gel that is stable from -40 to
100 deg C.

I'm not going to disclose the ratios used or the preparation techniques; both
are critical in making this stuff. This is nothing to fool around with!

It depends. One part of it is almost always gasoline the other part is usually dish soap or one of the agents used in making styrofoam to thicken it into a gel. I mean I dont know any of that. IM NORMAL.
